Rick
Can anyone confirm that Jones & Faison apologized to Saul Phillips and Gene Taylor because the Fighting Sioux beat NDSU tonight? Even though the women's team had nothing to do with the beating, sources also said that Roebuck was instructed to apologize to Bresciani again because several of his players were openly cheering the defeat of the Bison. IF there is any meat to this, it wouldn't suprise me. I'm sure if true, UND's grand puppeteer, Kelly, was no doubt responsible. I'm guessing in Kelly's eyes the chanting of "Sioux Suck" by NDSU fans is now on par with celebrating a big win vs. an in-state rival and that both "acts" require an apology. This type of ignorant/arrogant rational is now driving the bus at UND...and has been for awhile IMO.

Only one problem with your tongue-in-cheek here Rick: Roebuck and his WBB team were in Bahstan, Mass, last night defeating Hahvaad by a score of 60-57. Due to the time difference the Harvard game was concluded well before the men's game. I heard from an "undisclosed source" that Roebuck's team was openly cheering the defeat of NDSU and this was quite upsetting to the UND administration. If they would have been in their hotel rooms with the doors locked it would have been acceptable but this was out in the open where top administrators from other academic institutions might have witnessed, or heard about, this deplorable act. Let'sGoHawks!
You know, this is meant to be tongue in cheek, but in today's world, it isn't that far off. When will college athletics stop recognizing winners and losers, and just give everyone "participation ribbons"?
