tnt Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 Remind me again what side of the ball the coaches thought they could hang their hat on? It was quite obvious that Southern Utah had no respect for the Sioux defense. Where were the adjustments at halftime. Not exactly what you want your alumni to see. When was the last time a Sioux team was totally dominated on both sides of the ball like this at homecoming, or anytime for that matter. The more and more I look at it, it appears to be the schemes rather than the personnel. At least I would hope that the talent level isn't that big of a discrepancy. I actually bought into the confidence the defensive coaches were gushing over at the beginning of the year. Quote
darell1976 Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 OMG A SIOUX FIRST DOWN!!!!!!!!! Couldn't have that during the game. Quote
dmksioux Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 I know many people keep saying we are a young team and that we are recruiting well and we should give it another year or so. I have to say I don't see it. Our players are not fundamentally sound when it comes to positioning, tackling, and discipline. It doesn't matter how good an athlete is if you are not fundamentally sound. I tend to agree with dlsioux in that we need to see an overhaul with the coaching staff. We also need to pony up some cash to bring some decent calibre coaches. If we stick with Mussman, we are stuck with mediocrity at best. Quote
mksioux Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 I wonder if Mussman will roll out the excuses after this beating like he did in Idaho? Quote

Back in the mid 80's when we were at the bottom of the NCC, and now we are headed to the bottom of the FCS. Quote
tnt Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 Wow, flip a switch so we can watch the hockey team warmups in Anchorage No kidding! I will be mad if we miss any of the hockey game because of the football game. Know where your bread is buttered. Quote
siouxforeverbaby Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 No kidding! I will be mad if we miss any of the hockey game because of the football game. Know where your bread is buttered. you will, they already said that they are joining the hockey game in progress. Quote

darell1976 Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 509 yds of offense for SUU. We have no defense. Quote
darell1976 Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 TO #3 for UND. 3:53 4Q SUU 31 UND 21 3rd down for SUU Quote
sprig Posted October 10, 2010 Posted October 10, 2010 with the injuries and the Sioux losing this is the longest half in the history of Sioux football. I vote for straight time for the last 3 minutes Quote
mksioux Posted October 10, 2010 Posted October 10, 2010 4th down SUU punts. I'm surprised they didn't rough the punter again. UND will have to settle for a block in the back on the return. Quote
darell1976 Posted October 10, 2010 Posted October 10, 2010 Sioux shouldn't have to look at the sideline during a hurry up they should have at least 5 plays to go on. Call it and snap it. Quote
darell1976 Posted October 10, 2010 Posted October 10, 2010 Dressler drops a long bomb catch at the 45 of SUU. Quote
darell1976 Posted October 10, 2010 Posted October 10, 2010 Wasting at least 10 seconds to the sideline to give Landry a play. Pitiful. Quote
Matt Posted October 10, 2010 Posted October 10, 2010 Is it just the TV broadcast or just me, but does it sound like a gym during an intramural basketball game in there? Quote
darell1976 Posted October 10, 2010 Posted October 10, 2010 INT-SUU....Game over. SUU 31 UND 21 UND is now taking applications for a head coach, Offensive coordinator, and a defensive coordinator...send resume to Brian Faison. Quote
mksioux Posted October 10, 2010 Posted October 10, 2010 Game over. 31-21. One looking only at the score will not get the true sense of how terrible this game was for UND. This was truly pathetic. Quote
sprig Posted October 10, 2010 Posted October 10, 2010 And the game was not nearly as close as the score Quote
darell1976 Posted October 10, 2010 Posted October 10, 2010 Sioux led 14-0 after the 100yd INT return and looked good...then forgot there are 4 quarters in a game not 1. Quote
tnt Posted October 10, 2010 Posted October 10, 2010 Mussman happy with the way the defense battled. Talked about the four players that went down with injuries making it a shell of a defense. Problem with that is that they had all of those players in the first half and still could not stop Southern Utah. Quote
