bitzcomm
Hey Sioux fans... I'm currently with MidContinent but want to change to Dish Network. The only thing keeping me with MidCo is FSSN. Any advice/options that you're aware of to get FSSN without cable? Some have told me about "Free To Air" (FTA) Satellite -- from what I see, it's $260+ in hardware to be able to get FTA. An online FTA hardware sales website has a list of FTA channels, and FSSN isn't listed there (but they do list the coordinates on Wikipedia)... The sales rep said, "it may be be legally acquired through FTA"... On another note, a local Dish Network salesmen says more and more games are being broadcast on FOX College Sports and sometimes ESPNU. Any input would be appreciated. I can't switch to Dish Network if it means losing FSSN.
xI Hammer Ix
All home games are on FCS.
bitzcomm
All home games are on FCS. From what I can tell, FCS isn't available through Dish Network. It's not listed under any of the programming packages nor is it listed under the "College Sports" channels. Though, on FCS website it lists DISH Network as an option for provider, just doesn't specifically say anything about North Dakota or UND. If anybody here has Dish Network and watches UND via "Fox College Sports" - let me know!

The Whistler
I've got direct tv. Some but not all of the FSSN games have been available.
Goon
I've got direct tv. Some but not all of the FSSN games have been available. The reason I don't have direct TV is that they don't have FSSN... I would have it tomorrow if they did.

Saying that's where he got his system when he lived in Boise and said the guy who runs/owns it is a Sioux fan out of MPLS or something? Another bonus for me is... I'm a Dish Network retailer and if I can help the several customers who have asked about getting Sioux games - that would be great too! Goon
Goon, you have to pay extra for the Playboy Channel. I don't have that channel as well. I got rid of Cinnemax, Showtime, TCM, all of the premium movie channels but HBO.

He's installed lots of systems for Sioux fans in the TC and helped many others get set up correctly in his forum.
squirtcoach
Maybe I'm missing something but I have had all FSSN hockey games (home games) on my DirecTv sports pack channels 617 or 623. All the games.

All the games. They may have been talking about football or basketball. Have all of the football and basketball games broadcast on FSSN also been on DirecTV? All the games. Channel 617 on DirecTV is apparently FOX College Sports ... So now I'll have to check with Dish Network and see if they for sure have FCS as well. Every game I've watched on FSSN this year has mentioned it's being broadcast on FCS as well. I do make it to most of the home games, but it's the other FEW games I'm unable to make it to Grand Forks I muuuust see on TV at least! Haha

One road series for hockey, one road game for football, all other games shown for all three sports are/were home games. You can pick up some road games with the dish multi sports pack (ie at Denver on FSRM, at Minnesota or Wisco on FSN).
Bob in Wisconsin
Get the FTA already. PSB is your guy. Trust us, you can DIY with a little help from Pete...just gotta wait for the spring thaw, unless you can throw that badboy up on your house, facing south.
