farce poobah Posted October 6, 2003 Posted October 6, 2003 Does not yet seem, at least to my amateur eyes, to be what it should be. Fair amount of standing water at the start of the 2nd, little at the third ... I just hope nobody gets a skate caught in a rut ... Any other views? or comments from coaching staff? Quote
Mad Man Posted October 6, 2003 Posted October 6, 2003 Slow ice has been a complaint from day one at the Ralph! I heard rumor the refrigeration system is screwed up and there was talk it might need to be replaced. Quote
CoteauRinkRat Posted October 6, 2003 Posted October 6, 2003 I heard that for first two years, the refrigeration system was really messed up and that they didn't know they had a problem with it until looking at it more closely. Quote
ScottM Posted October 6, 2003 Posted October 6, 2003 They supposedly drained and refilled the entire refrigeration system after the summer camps. I know "bad" ice has been a complaint at REA since it opened. Hopefully, they get it squared away in time for the "real" games. Quote
airmail Posted October 6, 2003 Posted October 6, 2003 I say we just blame the polar bear I quote the 70-80 year old guy behind me to his wife: "What the f**k is this, hockey or a goddam circus?" Quote
