star2city Posted October 7, 2009 Posted October 7, 2009 St Paul Pioneer Press rumor Latest Los Angeles stadium whispering is that there could be two NFL teams relocating to share a stadium. If just one stadium is built, the San Diego Chargers, Jacksonville Jaguars, Oakland Raiders and Vikings are considered contenders for relocation. USC News: Stadium Developer, Roski, is Major USC Backer Roski, a USC alumnus and president of the USC Board of Trustees, gave a behind-the-scenes look at the stadium in an event presented by the SPPD Athenian Society at Pacific Palms Resort in the City of Industry. ScottM Posted October 7, 2009 Posted October 7, 2009 LA lost two NFL teams within a few years of each other and nobody really noticed. I can't imagine it's a pressing issue for most of the area especially given the economic problems in southern Cali and Cali in general. And nobody really goes to COI, except to work or when they get lost. Build in west LA or the SF Valley or perhaps rehab the Rose Bowl in Pasadena and ... you may be on to something. But LA's football scene is really dominated by USC. And Shooter? He's about as credible as Sid in schilling for a new Vikings stadium with his "rumors", "little birds" and delusions of relevance. Agree with everything. LA is not a football town no matter how many teams move in and out. After living out there it is Dodgers and Lakers and then band wagon jumping with plenty of hard core Raiders fans and gangs that like those colors. USC is popular now that they've been winning again but not always the case. Plus traffic is brutal and really causes people to not go to events. Quote
Goon Posted October 8, 2009 Posted October 8, 2009 That being said it might be a ploy for the Vikes to get a new stadium and I do think the Vikes need to get a new one because they are dead last in revenue in the NFL. Quote
