31-9
I was at the Bruins - Devils game . . . Zajac played very well, Hale was solid, and Parise attempted to fight former BC defenseman Andrew Alberts. Alberts was really taking him hard to the boards the first two periods, and in the third Zach finally took exception; he was all riled up. I'll post some pictures from the pregame skate later. UNDintheNHL
Last night on FSN South, for the Hurricanes game, the had a special on Commodore during the second intermission. They talked about how he loved baseball as well, and used to play when he was a kid. He said that it wasnt until he was recruited by North Dakota, and he looked at the baseball program there as well, that he decided he for sure wanted to do hockey (of course trying to compare UND's baseball to their hockey is like...well...trying to compare East Carolina's hockey to their baseball :-P. for those who don't know, ECU's baseball program is a long-time national powerhouse in college baseball). But they showed Commy out there throwin baseballs around at the Durham Bulls stadium. He laughingly commented on how shoulder surgery a few years ago didn't help his ability to throw a ball. I am sure glad he chose hockey, and im sure most people here would agree

Sioux_Hab-it
Any chance of Stafford being called up for tonights game vs the Devils? Its on VS! It will likely be a game time decision whether Drew dresses, based on whether or not Afinogenov is fit to play

UNDintheNHL
It will likely be a game time decision whether Drew dresses, based on whether or not Afinogenov is fit to play lets hope so. He has been very consistent for teh Americans since he went back down. I couldnt believe they sent him down the day after he got a goal, but hey, it isnt always based on production. he isnt listed on the Americans roster, so maybe he was called up. redwing77
Brady Murray's dad is back coaching in the NHL. http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/news_story/?ID=188117&hubname=nhl I'm not altogether sure why LA fired him in the first place. He wasn't exactly tanking despite not making the playoffs his last two years in LA. He actually did an amazing job since he constantly seemed to be leading a team chock full of players on IR. I feel bad for Kitchen though. Run under the bus. Hired as an interim head coach at the end of last season and strung along like cheap meat until it was convenient to toss him out the door.
