Stromer Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 2nd period underway in SC. 1-0 SC. Tech PP coming up. Looked like a pretty clear 5 minute CFB, and that's the call. Did Tech and SC really just trade CFB's? Or did I hear wrong? Quote
UMDDogz Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 UMD with a chance... Fontaine gets shoved after the whistle, no call Quote
farce poobah Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 Did Tech and SC really just trade CFB's? Or did I hear wrong? Yup. Quote
RedFrog Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 Yup. They traded CFB's? or he heard wrong? Quote
farce poobah Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 CC up 2-0 after 1. SOG 10-6 CC. With CC's short bench, it would seem possible to mount a 3rd period rally against them. If the Dogs can close the gap in the second, it might lead to some fun in the 3rd. Quote
UMDDogz Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 2-0 CC leads at tDECC after 1. Alex Stalock talking to Adam... Probably telling him how many times he was "snowed" that period. Quote
nodakvindy Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 2 more pp goals and unh up 5-1. 8 to go. I believe a win would clinch the hockey east title. Quote
farce poobah Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 They are spelling in Minneapolis. 3-2 Gophers. halfway thru 2nd. Quote
farce poobah Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 They traded CFB's? or he heard wrong? Yup A SCSU CFB was followed about a minute later by a Tech CFB. LOOOOnnng stretch of 4x4. Quote
farce poobah Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 End of two in SC, 2-0 SCSU. Tech can't buy a break. Quote
farce poobah Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 3-3 at the John. Another long on-ice wrister gets past Kangass. Quote
The Whistler Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 Donna Lucia in a prerecorded interview said that in order to win more games they have to score more goals. No wonder why he's making the big bucks! Earlier Frank said that this Gopher team took punches (figuratively) than any other team. Frank, your team's at the bottom and dropping! Quote
UMDDogz Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 Dogs with a 2 on 1 and they miss the net... Quote
RedFrog Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 Dogs with a 2 on 1 and they miss the net... Still 2-0? Quote
farce poobah Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 CC radio guy with a great trivia question. Name the only three schools to win the Macnaughton (unshared) three years in a row. I was close, but didn't get it. Quote
Stromer Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 So far tonight is not going our way. I think every result so far does not help us, besides the UMN-UW game. Hopefully UW can pull it out tonight and then we can start fresh again next weekend. Quote
UMDDogz Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 PP for CC. Dogs missed a chance as the puck bounced out in front with the goalie behind the net. We can't get a break. Quote

farce poobah Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 Spelling bee at the John. 4-3 Gophers. Barriball with a water-bottle backhander from in close. 15 minutes left. Quote

Stromer Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 Agree. Looks like the Sioux need to win the next 7 at least to get a #1 seed. Quite possibly. I also can see a couple of upsets in other conference tournaments/playoffs helping us though (possibly Miami and others losing.) I expect us to win out in the reg season. We need to win out if we have any chance at tying for the cup. CC could easily lose 1 each to Mankato and Denver, thus erasing their lead on us. However, we can't lose. And I don't think we will. The only help the Sioux got is that the road for WI to make the NCAA's gets tougher unless they come back. Sioux at Madison at the midwest regional would be fine by me - but only if we don't have to play WI there. Quote
