I figured Fleet Farm or Tractor Supply would acquire HoE; guess it's Runnings. The Runnings in Moorhead and Bismarck do "feel" like HoE.
HOE stores are not big enough for a Fleet Farm, TSC is too lame for HOE. Honestly I’m surprised Murdochs didn’t beat Runnings to the punch. Murdochs are pretty popular out west.

I see the Rabbits vs Bizzzzon game is gonna be on ESPN. Rich keep getting Richer.
The ESPN channel hasn’t been announced, they are up against some big matchups. Wouldn’t be surprised if it’s on ESPNU

Great to hear! I think we were actually the only FCS game on FS1 last year.
Our game got selected over the OSU / SDSU game which still hasn’t been picked up yet for national tv

Per Dom Izzo, the NDSU vs SDSU and the USD vs SDSU football games will be picked up by ESPN this fall. Kick times TBD. Sucks for Midco and the Fargo media! The poor Bison fans won’t be able to get it now because they don’t have cable like civilized people

interesting theory of utah ditching the big12 already and "parking" their sports in the ACC until in implodes then they get scooped up by the big10 in the aftermath...along with a few other aau schools ....unc, uva,......
They could have already been picked up by the Big 10, why would they only be picked up from the ACC but not the Big 12?

WAC is on life support........again.
Rumor is per Dom Izzo that all of the TX WAC teams are on their way out leaving the 3 Utah schools as the only FB members left. Rumor is the Summit might pick them up and add their FB to the MVFC. That also opens the door to Summit FB.

They should just drop all sports, waste of money especially with all that travel. Heck close both schools too, we have enough higher ed in ND

wow no love after finishing at #16
We return almost no one outside of Bo, including coaches. Not many programs can keep it rolling after that kind of upset. Honestly not worried about offense though the the question is if the defense can really ever get any worse than last year…

Yes, I don't see how I could!!
All I would be thinking about as that player is running into the endzone is how much I fear for his future employers and how he had 0 loyalty to his previous school. Why wouldn't he do that to UND as well?? That is something that I cannot support.
The lack of loyalty is ruining college athletics and deteriorating my love for UND!!
Screw Employers. In the end most of them really don’t give a damn about their employees . In corporate America I’ve come to a conclusion that a worker really needs to worry about themselves because at the end of the day we are all just a number no matter how irreplaceable you think you are. I have never regretted taking a new position after getting a new boss that sucked. I’ve also never regretted not taking a new position because of who was in the management hierarchy. The days of staying loyal to a company for more than a couple years is a thing of the past!

Wait, I thought the issue was the HC is stuck in his ways and doesn't allow coordinators run things their way? Now the issue is the new guys were doing things somewhat differently?
Bubba probably tried to sell how the new OC and oline coach was a good thing for the program. Bubba tied to act like it wasn’t a big deal that these coaches left, bubbas ignorance might be the reason for the disgruntlement

Matt Brown article says that the Utah schools are in play for the Summit League. Not my first choices, but they have been doing well athletically. Fenton has, for a while now, been mentioning that he has been excited about the future prospects for Summit Soccer. Then Delaware was added. So the Utah thing adds up, because Utah Valley is building a new $20 million dollar soccer stadium. If the WAC is unstable, perhaps the Summit Would be able to grab Air Force soccer as well. Air Force currently plays soccer in the WAC. Travel would be bad for Utah Valley, but Utah Tech and Southern Utah wouldn't be the worst road trip as everyone can fly fairly cheaply in and out of Vegas. I kind of hope the SL league finds an alternative to this that's more regional.

Wow the Summit is so desperate that they are going to take new start up western schools when conferences like the Big Sky want nothing to do with them. Heck maybe this will even get Northern Colorado to jump back to old NCC. Utah Valley starting D1 hockey could happen with the new hype the NHL is bringing to the metro. They could play at the practice rink in Provo or at the Maverick Center

Depends on the sport. Also, Memphis isn't P5 to begin with, either.
Exactly we are going to be competing with the big schools and their huge collectives in hockey. It will be hard for the 1883 collective to just pay for hockey let alone all sports. Football and l basketball will always have the problem of not being able to compete with the P5 and will continue to see guys hit the portal no matter what crumbs the 1883 collective can give them. Unfortunate truth. Hockey may be the only immune sport in the entire state that we won’t have elite transfers out ( plus we have already been dealing with NHL departures for decades).

We have a huge alumni base, many of whom are fiercely loyal to their alma mater. We just need to make them aware of this thing and the importance of it. That means communicating with them better than we have communicated with Champions Club members, based on a few stories I have read on this forum.
We have never had as many alumni as the bigger schools in the NCAA. But we've always punched above our weight class in Division I hockey. I don't think NIL will be as big of a factor in FCS football and mid-major basketball, but even those sports will occasionally need NIL assistance.
I will say this: If we are not willing or able to raise the funds needed to really compete in FCS football and at a mid-major level in basketball, maybe we should move back down to Division 2. And no, I am not being hyperbolic either.
Is there maybe 10 FCS schools that are actually going to have enough donors to actually start NIL collectives? Maybe 20 total. UND wont have a problem with FCS football. Basketball and hockey will be hard enough

We won the lottery keeping belquist, hard to imagine how he turns down the offers I assume he’s getting , shows his dedication to UND!

Where would this leave ASU, surely they wouldn't just join summit for hockey. Does this mean they are going to add UMD and St. Cloud too? I understand it’s all talk at this point. Just some initial thoughts.
Where else would ASU go? ASU wanted in to the NCHC more than any other landing spot. Where else would ASU rather go?

Leave St Cloud in the dust. Only accept the MN teams that want to be a true D1 athletic department
