    Like others and given our history at USD and recent history on the road ....hard to feel like we are going to win this. Shocked the spread was that low, I had to put a little on that. I'm thinking 31-20 USD. 

    That said will be big step in the right direction if we can pull this out. All I ask is at least play inspired and play a solid game and let the child fall where they may.

    I think this list needs to be sorted by yards/rush.....not total rushing yards. USD averaging less yards per rush than UND, so in my book they are better against the rush than UND.

    I for one, actually am concerned about our offense. After scoreless at UNI we barely scored in the first half against ISU.....at home. Murray is just bad on defense so last week's offense means nothing. USD is typically big and physical....and I'm guessing well coached. We can probably get some yards on the ground but I doubt we will be able to run it down there throats all day, which means more 2 yard passes....which USD will be ready for. I'm afraid of it being one of those types of games we've had in the past against good teams where we struggle because we can't run at will and we don't seem to be able to stretch the field and they will lock down on everyone 10 yards and in.....from line of scrimmage.

    We shut down Boise's RB, we limited NDSU"s offense......we tackled well in those games. The defense has to play like their hair is on fire! We have the talent to do this, we just need to freaking go out and do it!! Our team needs to channel the energy from their crowd to help get them pumped up. We do need to make this our SB, this is a big game. If this team can't get up for this game might as well not even make the playoffs. I mean if we show up and play tough and get beat, it will suck.....but if we just get boat raced...hell might as well not even make the playoffs.  Ok not saying I wouldn't still want to make the playoffs, but if this is another UNI game...what's the point. 

    Is Lennon available for another talk this week?

    As rough as the last 3 weeks felt, still put ourselves in position for a great opportunity to change the narrative for the season, and potentially set ourselves up for a playoff run. Hoping we can capitalize on the opportunity!

    When are we going to stop expecting huge TE production? Our TE's probably have similar stats to most FCS teams, although I haven't checked and could be wrong. I think because SDSU has some top end TE's with huge production and are in the NFL we all think huge TE production will solve all of our problems. It's just not a huge part of our offense. But I'm sure it will give people something to complain about for several years to come.

    I think they have it set up for Bubba to retire when his current contract is up and have Danny take over, I'd be surprised and pissed if another extension happens. If prefer Danny take over this next season but I don't think it will happen until his contract expires.

Is Bubba perfect ... no, but he deserves a thankyou for helping the team dig out of the hole they were in.  Remember UND didn't win their first Division 2 title until 2001.

    Bubba did turn us around pretty quickly, and I felt so good after the NDSU win for him, for me, for the whole program and school. Definitely a thanks to Bubba for that, we are in a much much better spot now and we start each season ranked, which is important. As you said most of us agree we have likely plateaued under him. I think more of us our in agreement than it often seems like on this board. I for one am hoping he decides to step down in off season and let Danny take over and we can start our new regime. Bubba beat NDSU, he can step aside and still be proud of what he has done for UND football.

    2023 Non-UND FCS thread

    We should be higher than NDSU if both 7-4 but you never know. Even if we play them again at home that game will be a lot closer in my opinion. I'm not discounting that win against NDSU.....it was a big win and we needed it badly to help the perception of our program. However that UND team that showed up that day has only shown up a grand total of 1 times this season. I'm hoping that UND team shows up next weekend at USD, as we need that team to show up to win.

    If NDSU wins out and we lose to USD but make playoffs and go on the road and go to NDSU, it's likely an SulU win and not very close. Maybe my opinion will change after the USD game though....but we'll see.

    Yes mine has been horrible the last quarter. I was going to post and see if anyone else was having this issue.
