Love the all green look.  Been begging the other program I follow closer than others to go all green some time.

Let's hope we can show something in the passing game today.

    UND 27....Idaho 23

I prefer white pants with green tops

all eyes on Romfo.....maybe montana couldn't believe what they were seeing and didn't know what to do especially after the praise from tom miller and geiouxsioux......

isu's d coordinator had a week to look at simon's tape.....

    we'll find out.

I agree, we will see a defense preparing for him running, how will he respond, how will the OC respond. C'mon Romfo....let's go!

No turnovers by our defense so far this year, let’s change that this weekend. Win the turnover battle.

That's what I was thinking. We need a tipped ball for an INT or a straight up INT or fumble or something this game. Hoping we can get some decent pressure with 4.

Playing wide open passing teams always makes me nervous too as the one poster mentioned. But no reason we shouldn't be able to play complimentary football on both sides of the ball and come away with a two score win at home. Would also love to see our kicker drill a 47 yard FG to build his confidence even more.

    I'll go 31-20 UND.

Big game tomorrow. Find a way to get it done! I still think Rucker is due for a major breakout game. Offensively, Dennis and Quincy need to be involved.

Crowd needs to do its part. Get to the Alerus and be loud on every down!

I'd like to see Tai and Seidl get the ball in space.

Maybe UND will try to catch ISU off guard with some consecutive pass plays to start the game?

    .......wait nevermind.

    Lol right.

Never more in my life do I want us to run Z right up the middle on our first play of the game. Given what happened last week....95% chance of that happening. Which if I was their DC I'd sell out on the run the first play to try and set the tone on their side of the ball

Just reported what Massie had.  I was surprised as well.

Given that we've only lost....what 3 times at home in the past 8 years or whatever,  it probably should be 80 percent....and we are playing a team we are ranked higher than. I take nothing for granted though, but I do think we will win. ISU will be prepping for a QB that is going to run more, will we still be able to run it down their throats and chew clock, I think so. Romfo didn't have many designed runs against Iowa State and we still ran it well, but they also didn't stack the box as much as teams will start doing....probably starting this week.

I just hope we can hold them under 50

Lol I get it's sarcasm,  but I've seen us get beat on long passes way too often in recent history to completely dismiss their big play capability. Hopefully we can keep their big plays in check. Need to get some pressure on the QB. If it takes us 12 plays to drive down and get a FG, it will be a buzz kill if the come back and get a TD in 3 plays.

I’m sure Isaac doesn’t want to show everything the whole play book

what we did Saturday was ground and pound

I would think with the next three opponents he won't show too much else either, we shouldn't need it.....or I wouldn't think we should.

He clearly won't be an elite down-field passer, but you have to think we're seeing Romfo's floor right now. No way he wins the starting job if this is what he was showing in Fall camp. Need it to be sooner than later, but I have faith we'll see steady improvement passing starting this week.

I agree we are seeing his floor. While he has some room for improvement and he may start getting more comfortable and make some better throws and better reads as he gets more snaps,  I just don't think his ceiling is all that much higher than it currently is when it comes to passing downfield, but I hope I'm wrong. He was accurate on some crucial slants though which if he is off on those it's a different game. When the easy ones are there for the taking, definitely have to have success on those.

Also even though we all wanted to stretch the field....might as well take those fly patterns out of the play calling for a while...both were picked off.

A win is a win. But UND will be facing stacked boxes moving forward. I hope UND makes it work. Things are more fun when the Dakota schools put a decent team on the field.

We know we will end up seeing stacked boxes as people figure it out. That is why there is still a lot of concern for many. Nice win for sure, but long ways to go and a long way for improvement.

0-2 at home vs. Idaho State and 4-1 on the road. Last L came in Pocatello but after a dramatic big win at the Alerus over Cal Poly. Year before came after a dramatic road win vs Sam Houston and we lost at home to ISU. Those Idaho State teams finished 6-5 and 3-9.

I remember the one we lost at home...I think both our safeties were out and we were very thin in the secondary and they figured that out and took advantage of that in the second half and we couldn't stop them through the air.

  12. As far as the Griddy I kind of agree, although I guess it all depends if the players are tired of it or not. If they still love it....keep doing it. It probably just doesn't need to be video'd and posted every week...except for maybe a big win, which this one was.
