  2. I searched for pics of the SCSU Hockey Cheerleaders but could not find any
  3. I let my son have toy guns & he had a BB gun by 5 & was shooting a shotgun by 8 (12 ga single shot) at ducks & geese - the next yr he had a pump But I never let him treat a toy gun or BB gun any different than a real gun This is my 16 month old Grandson (at 9 mo.) & NO it is not normally part of school curriculum (only in schools with really good Admin. & Teachers)
  4. Here is a Great T Shirt http://redneckndgoon.blogspot.com/2007/04/...less.html#links
  5. There are companies coming out with gun safety's that if you are not wearing a special ring - the gun won't fire http://www.tarnhelm.com/magna-trigger/gun/safety/magna1.html http://www.tarnhelm.com/writerscorner.html http://www.njit.edu/publicinfo/newsroom/Sp...ht_smartgun.php http://www.eurekalert.org/pub_releases/200...o-sfa121604.php http://www.jamaicaobserver.com/news/html/2...S_CAN_FIRE_.asp or this http://www.smartlock.com/shows.htm

  7. there are always kids way ahead of others - I hope they go to the A league or he goes to a private school & continues to get bigger & develop I could send a donation to a kid like that (maybe even adopt him) to get him down here shaking my head in disbelief Sad part is he will most likely go towards another sport - He is a BIG BOY
  8. I don't pay much attention to them at the Ralph but - I have to say I sure did pay attention to St Clowns at the FF
  9. All semi-auto shotguns jam at some point - that is why police use pump shotguns - They are the most reliable BisonDan I bet your right
  10. this time of yr I like Goooooooooooooo Goophers
  11. Spring Break in ND part 2 http://www.nodakoutdoors.com./forums/viewtopic.php?t=39263
  12. http://www.reason.com/news/show/119694.html there is going to be a lot of this
  13. DaveK I don't know if I intended to go this direction with this thread - But if OK ? - After watching the series about Barbarians on TV in recent months - & learning about how Man has brutally killed each other for so long from Romans to Crusades to all the different Barbarians - The only ones who survived for many generations & cultures were the strongest - meanest - most Violent & then in a few hundred yrs out of thousands of yrs - we are to act & think like what you said & what I am mentioning above was before Guns Man has always found the best most efficient ways to kill each other & yeah I'd love a world without these traits - But is that REAL & can it happen in just a few generations ? I do think there are lots of folks that want this & live as though it can happen (civilized) Unless you live in a total police State (Like Iraq was or the old USSR) they held people down - But can free societies do the same ? ? ? I some times think were losing our Freedom more every year - I'd rather have Freedom & take my chances that Good will prevail over Evil (Most of the time) than think a Police State is the way to go As the world gets More & More Crowded faster than most of us even think about - it is going to be a wild ride & will it be survival of the fittest or let Gov. try to protect us ?
  14. Your a Good .......No GREAT!!! Hockey Mom It really Bums me out to see & read about all the Good / Great people that died
  15. wxman91 they did in Australia http://www.gunsandcrime.org/aussiegc.html I'm not a hardcore NRA guy - they are as radical as the gun control people - but they have to be, to counter the gun control people & what we end up with is middle of the road legislation - Do Agree with the NRA on a lot / most of their work http://www.nraila.org/ArmedCitizen/Default.aspx http://www.nrapublications.org/armed%20citizen/Index.asp
  16. Hockey Mom I agree to a point about safety & kids - But If you need it, I doubt you will have time to open the safe & take off the gun lock & find the ammo & load - sorry! I had three kids & only one hunted & we always had guns around the house - But they knew the rules & that I was not joking in the least about them - one of the good things about concealed carry means you can have a loaded gun in your night stand under the seat of your car or in the glove box or on you ready to use & YES this takes a lot of training & Rules, to be responsible enough & competent enough to do it But like all the Bad things that happen - I do not depend on, or think the police can or will be there, in time, to protect us It's just a fact - I know Law Enforcement cringe at the thought of most carrying guns - but obviously the world has changed & I believe it's time for criminals to think twice about them always having the upper hand, or the fact there are so many guns that the crazy's or criminals will always have them or be able to get them There are a lot of places that we cannot carry in ND - I'd rather see folks be certified & checked & be able to have enough good people that are ready & prepared to do the right thing, in a bad situation & as sad as it is ND has it's share of criminals & crazy's
  17. The safest gun is a revolver - single action - I'd get one big enough to do the job - But bigger is more expensive to shoot (& they are hard on your ears if not wearing hearing protection - advised for all practice shooting) - single action means you have to pull the hammer back to shoot - double action you can just keep pulling the trigger - Guns Like Glocks are smaller & lighter & semi- auto - they fire as fast as you can pull the trigger - a lot depends on if you plan to carry it concealed A 22 is good for target shooting & small varmints but not big enough to stop a criminal Any good gun store will advise you Hey Goon if I really needed it - I'd prefer the shotgun over a pistol any day the shorter Mossberg's or Remington pumps (police style) are inexpensive & better odds of hitting the target
  18. & a CWP (Concealed Weapons Permit) ? (I do) & would use it ? Who is aware of this new Law on the Governors desk ?
  19. I too watched him a lot the end of this yr - what he lacks in speed he sure makes up for in strength & I bet he gets a lot better in both - That one Final 5 game of his - he looked great - maybe a little luck in some bounces, but I think with his smartness for position (Like Bucks) - he will get luckier & luckier
  20. I love looking up these sayings http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/tarnation
