Does this make the question as to what is better a top college pick that stays around for four years and becomes a team leader? Or a top NHL prospect that leaves after a season or two with no hardware? Just look at the last two titles in 97 and 2000. Travis Roche was the big prospect and his NHL career went no where. Jason Blake no big prospect but has had a great NHL career. Commie did the best but he was only a second round pick and has had a great career. But in the end who can really say which is better.

06 there were 3 who went 1st round with a total of 5 1st rounders that played college. 07 one first rounder drafted from college with a total of 11 first rounders who played college.

How is it being extorted? By forcing people to pay above and beyond the price of the ticket. Since they will not sell you a ticket without it. As for a tax donation lets do the math. Say you did pay $120 extra for 2 tickets that is $240 dollars. 80 percent of that is tax deductible. That works out to $192 dollars. Even at a tax rate of 20 percent that saves you a total of $38.40. Or $19.20 per ticket.

They knew it was a bad choice. At the same time what choice did they have? They have to keep paying for the arena one way or another. What really could Seattle or anyone else give the Coyotes that would be any better financially? Who says they would draw more fans in Seattle than Phoenix? The arena never should have been built to start and the Jets never should have moved to Phoenix. The old Glendale city council that started this mess had champagne dreams on a Old Style budget.

I don't think that would even work. Look at the Down UNDer and how slow it got there. It seems all the college kids go downtown with a bunch of bars to kangaroo around. More like this building should never have been built to start with. Usual result of businessmen thinking they are restaurateurs. One thing I always thought about this place when it was built that there are only so many home games a year. So the parking lot fills up with people before the game and if they leave their cars there no parking for anyone else during the game. After the game people are parked all over the area and to far away from the building to want to go there after the game. Does anyone really want to walk to the ramp or the lot across from the Nursing school in 10 below weather?

What games are you thinking they might pick up? Or are you like me just hoping that they pick up the BU or St. Lawrence games. Wouldn't the only possible road games shown be non-conference games?

That's how it looks. Maybe NESN or FSN as was mentioned before picks up a game or two it will have to be the internet.
