Go take a lookie how Bemidji and Quinipiac have done since playing UND. Those losses will hurt a lot too

That song and dance we always hear about we get every teams best is getting old.  It's like we just lost to a suck hole B 10 team but hey you don't understand we are UND and we get everyone's best game so it's ok if we suck.  I just don't buy it.

WhT was wrong with Sanderson tonight? Best player on the ice and it wasn’t close…couple fumbles and the bad penalty at the end. But he was still the best hockey player on the ice. Hopefully they switch the second man assist to his on the first goal..that wasn’t schmaltz I don’t believe

He hasn't taken very good care of the puck all season.  Too many giveaways. Sanderson is ultra high end ala Cale Makar but it's like his heads somewhere else on some of his giveaways.  Granted at his worst he's top ten D in college hockey but he needs to take this team on his back right now because we aren't very good currently.

Don’t worry…Bad man Boo Berry will pat them on the backs and tell them they tried hard but it’s not just about winning. We’ll get ‘em next time!

.500 at best and another missed NCAA. Not looking forward to watching these scared stringy kiddos getting curb stomped by UMD.

Losing to a middle of pack B 10 team is not gonna be good for pairwise down the road.  Our body of work netter improve or we will be sitting home com national tourney time.  The argument can be made that Bemidji and Quinnipiac were quality opponents but I don't see Penn State as very good at all.  You just can't give up this many goals and expect to win games.

Driscoll is not a good goalie

I disagree even though his play hasn't beeen good so far.  There's a reson Berry picked him up.  Like I said a good 2 hour skate would do wonders for this team.  If I was captain I would call a practice for a good 2 hours of crunches as soon as the plane lands

I do believe the coaches need to re-evaluate the talent they bring in. We are certainly lacking.

I disagree about the talent.  Berry needs to skate the hell out of these guys and you will see an emergence of their talent.  Sanderson is a high end defenseman who for some reason thinks effort is now optional.  We are loaded with talented d men and have some very good forwards.  Lets be honest too about Driscoll is anyone thinking he still deserves the #1 job the way he's played.  We have to score between 4 - 6 goals to win.  Not all his fault because our ultra talented d corps thinks they just don't need to hustle especially Sanderson.  I just don't understand.

Could Jake be a 3 year guy?

    Goodness.....

He's gonna be a 4 year guy and an NHL washout if he doesn't get his s@#t tohether.  I'm totally serious that Berry should skate these guys till they puke and fall over

I would skate these guys right down to the concrete/

This team needs to be skated for 2 straighthours of crunches to get rid of this attetude that they can just show up and they will win.

    Another complete defensive failure.

We suck.  We can't even beat Penn State.  Our defense completely sucks including Sanderson.  What the hell happened that we suck so bad.

1...how about getting out of the regional first...

2...what good is reloading if we don't do anything with them other than beating aic?

If you don't reload with good talent you won't even get into the tournament.  Our program is very good at developing talent and we will be back next year.  I really believe that out of the top 4 NCHC teams anyone can beat anyone on any given night.  The teams are that close at the top of the NCHC.

It is up to the athletes themselves whether to come back or not.

Yes but the coach has a lot of input to the player if they are ready or not.  I thought what Monty did was selfish and self serving with Terry and the rest that stayed that year to try win a Natty.

The players that are ready should move on to next level.  The younger players that need to should stay and develop.  We need to have room to bring in our recruits and develop them.  We have a good corps of young players for next season.  Berry is going to have decide if he brings back any seniors but I doubt they will bring any back.  You have to look at what is best for the people sometimes not just the program.  Most of the seniors even the role players may have a very good living awaiting them playing in NHL, Sweden, Switzerland etc.  Berry will do what is best for the people and the program.

I may be different but I cringe when I see kids that are ready to take the next step to the NHL stay in a program just to try to win a championship for that program i.e. Denver when Monty didn't push his NHLers out of the nest.

Truly incredible effort by both teams last night.  After going toe-to-toe for 2.5 games, anyone could have won it.

Heartbreaking watching UND lose twice last night.

Terrible feeling knowing that a 48-11-5 record the last two seasons produced one NCAA playoff win against college hockey titans, the American International Bumblebees.

Sandy 12-1 in last 13 NCAA playoff games.  One Massachusetts team between him and Duluth's shot at a fourth straight title game.

Had really anticipated the Fargo, North Dakota Regionals in 2015 (UND), 2017 (Duluth), 2019 (Denver), and 2021 (Duluth) to be a bigger boon for UND's frozen four chances.

Every player has eligibility next year, right?  Unfinished business??

The Ottawa Senators Forum is drooling over both Sanderson and Kleven.  Their feeling is Sanderson will be possibly better than Cale Makar and Kleven is going to be a shutdown defenseman with very good O zone skills.  I am pretty that next year is the last year we will see these two defenseman in a UND uniform.

What is the word on JBD and Pinto.  I'm guessing they will both sign very soon if they already haven't.

Sanderson is the most mesmerizing player with the puck on his stick that I have seen in 20+ years.

Why can't some people come to grips with the fact that you cannot win a natty every year.  We will reload and we will have Gaber, most likely Sanderson and Kleven and a host of others along with some newcomer.  It is not the end of the world. Jammer also logged a lot of minutes and comes back as a freshman next season.  The sun will rise again tomorrow and UND will still have a good hockey team.

This team showed so much heart with their late comeback.

It’s no use trying to reason with them. They are hell bent on blaming someone or something. It sucks, I get it but programs are going to experience ups and downs, even great ones.

Probably not in the last 5 years.

Look at BU and Wisconsin who are loaded this year with high draft picks and are both done just like us.  There will be a season again next year and we will reload and return some goood players.  For soe players it is time to move on.

The only parody is Berry trying to match strategy with Sandelin.  As for parity, maybe so, but that doesn't seem to be affecting Duluth the last 10 years in big games.

One and done is tough to win it all.  I think most of us knew this was going to be a tough game as did Duluth.

  19. 5 minutes ago, TheFlop said:

Doesn't seem to be an issue Sandelin has had as much in big games.  With all of the talent UND had on this team, not making the Frozen Four is the equivalent of Alabama not making the BCS final four in football.

I think we are seeing more parody in college hockey.  It's tough to win 4 in a row in a one and done tourney.
