  1. The same thing happened to me when I attended a Carolina Hurricanes game a few years ago.
  2. Nice list! BTW, I added Flying Fleet to the list. It's the nickname used by Erskine College in Due West, SC where my daughter attends. Incidentally, it would be a great name for UND!
  3. Wow, I had no idea that the CAS had any satellite schools. Emery-Riddle just opened one here in Greenville, SC.
  4. We Americans should be doing whatever we can to preserve Native American culture, for it is the only true American culture that we have. I'm descended from Lebanese and European immigrants. There's no one group that I can say I belong to. I lived in North Dakota for more than 20 years, and I never truly felt that I belonged there. Native Americans belong to the land. They belong to the North American continent they have been inhabiting for 10,000 years. It was not ours to take from them. They earned the name "Fighting Sioux" defending their land from the settlers, and from other tribes. They earn my respect by the way they treat the land, by the way they value families, and of course, their bravery. I want every American to be able to appreciate Native American culture, and learn from it. If I still lived in Grand Forks, I would be fighting to protect the name by praising the people it belongs to.
  5. Is this the first time the Frozen Four has consisted of teams from only one conference?
  6. There's an all-hockey band called The Zambonis. I haven't heard their music, but you can check them out at http://www.thezambonis.com/
  7. I've been living in Greenville, SC for nearly 15 years. I didn't go to Florence in 2001, but should really to to go this year since it's only 410 miles away.
