I would like to see 12 goals and at least 14 assists for Schmaltz. Set high expectations. When coaching high school soccer and near the end of the girls season, the team threw me a 50th birthday party, on field during training. I told them for my birthday, I would like 50 goals for the next year, players and parents were shocked - that would be a 25% increase in goals. End of next year we hit 50 goals. Sadly, one team we could not beat and those games were usually 1-0.

Sadly, I was excited for his potential last year. I believe his upside potential is still much better than last year.

Goal breakout season for Schmaltz. :).

Strinden has really proven himself in my view. I love his stick handling and his hard-nose moves to the net.

Did you read carefully. It is a good addition to Division I and without me saying it, in my opinion, I would welcome them into Division I well before many teams from something like the rumor of the Summit League. We need more (DI possible) hockey programs coming from the west coast. I would also like to see U of Arizona, San Diego, etc. become D1 hockey.

I feel the planned players coming up may bolt on the Sioux if we ask them to stay another year in juniors. We need to keep quality recruits and develop them.

I am a very big supporter of campus regionals. However, not on campuses with irregular ice sheets (Olympic size for example) or rinks that seat less than 6,000.

Lets promote NCAA Hockey and have a future regional like the western regional in Vegas and the Midwestern Regional in Fargo. Available seating would increase and the regional tickets would improve.
