  1. That was exactly my thought too when I read that. Yoy, yoy, yoy.
  2. I am by no means a Cam basher but he deserved a short leash tonight, there's been a pattern.
  3. I saw about zero urgency and intensity tonight ("buzzing" I like to call it) by hockey standards and yet this game/series was huge coming in. I just don't get it. At least Haks teams improved every season (yes, I know, except for the last game every year) but this team has digressed and IMO is only ranked as high as it is based upon program status/history.
  4. Spot on guy, that's exactly what I said just a few minutes ago prior to reading your post. I think I referred to it instead as "balance", same thing.
  5. Not to argue but wasn't UND 10 - 15 years ago (03 - 08) actually pretty good if I recall correctly? They've been on like a nice 16 years or so run I believe. I think you're probably thinking more like 20 - 25 years ago, early to mid 90s is what the play resembles now.
  6. Like watching paint dry anymore. Ralph is getting quieter and quieter by the weekend, saw ample empty seats tonight. Hard to get energized with the offensive display shown lately. Perhaps the ticket prices will finally come down a bit next season.
  7. I'm by no means a great hockey mind, never played it, but have been a dedicated Sioux fan since late 70s. Tell me, how do guys on scholarship that are forwards keep those scholarships when they've only scored like 1 or 2 goals on the year and we're like 2/3 to 3/4 through the season already? We seem to have lots of such types (I'll give the freshmen a pass) that have now been with the team for nearly 2 and nearly 3 seasons but we get almost nil goal production out of them and they're forwards for Christ's sake. What comes to mind are two Euros and at least two Minn guys. They can't all be high-end skill players, I get that, but a little more production from some of the forwards would sure be nice. Bring someone else in next season if they can't produce goals at the college level.
  8. We can't even win a game anymore. The offensive finishing skills are putrid. We have too many 3rd liners. At the beginning of the season the talk was about balanced scoring with non big high-enders, code for lots of 2nd and 3rd liners.
  9. Is it just me or does it seem like we've had a good share of players hurt in practice this season? I mean, come on man, it's practice. It's just practice, you know? Practice, we're talking practice.....
  10. I commented a few times this season to friends at UND hoops games, he does seem to have trouble recruiting decent height bulkier/brawnier players.
  11. My, oh my. What's wrong? I'd like to think with all these juniors that I thought would make for a decent team it would put us at a nice level next season but now I'm not so sure. Not that they're a powerhouse at home but I have zero confidence for a win when they play on the road--zilch.
  12. This Cam obsession (with defending him) on this board is downright comical.
  13. Save for the 1st period...
  14. I believe I saw that hit, 3rd period? Yah, no call either.
  15. In retrospect, could of (certainly not guaranteed as Den would of pulled their goalie late in game) won 1-0 in regulation had Cam not let in a real softie.
  16. I really think the Denver coach and/or training and medical staff should be held to judgment if he keeps going back out there, poor on their part to keep allowing him to play (and I'm not excusing Smith's hit, it was a cheap shot) if he can't keep himself from harms way.
  17. And questionable goal tending didn't help us any either. Cam right now, in my mind, has been just an average college hockey goaltender this season. He needs to steal a game for us once in awhile.
  18. With the program we have it's concerning the number (lack of) of skilled offensive players - goals scorers we have, we're middle of the pack in that department in college hockey.
  19. Ophelia? WTH. That was my late (sadly) aunt's name.
  20. He sounds like OJ/his defense team 20+ years ago warding off the overwhelming circumstantial evidence, it was comical.
  21. I could be wrong but the famous play/catch by Terrell Owens in the end zone vs his very own Packers was a wild card play-off game I believe and here I am talking about it approximately 20 years later. I'm sure San Fran fans recall it well too.
  22. The Packers should talk, my God. At least this was a playoff game. A few years ago didn't A Rodgers throw a Hail Mary in a regular season (we're not talking play-offs!) game at Detroit (?) to win it and all the cheeseheads went bagonza.
  23. I didn't get to see or listen to the game tonight. That's pathetic.
  24. Gersich has no business leaving after this season so hopefully has a big one for UND next season.
