  1. haha - the auction is for a picture you can apply adhesive to and put on a puck,  and you have to send an email stating you understand you bought a picture.  That's just crazy!

  2. And now the tides will turn in Boston.

I see it more as a leveling out, rather than tides turning.  UND travels by plane several times every year and this team is road tested from last year's regional and FF.  We're not going to let it be a 90% BU crowd, and we know these guys are used to a packed house :)

  3. Me and blaiser have had drinks late in to the nite with me staring at his natty rings

Well, hell, if that's the only criteria to be met...  Remember he also coached here in Fargo before UNO.  He apparently has a lot of close friends -  Even I've seen the rings!

  4. Four of us are going.  Staying at the Holiday Inn and Express right by TD Gardens.  Can't wait!!!!  Leaving on Wednesday.  Burn the ships boys!!!!

I believe that's where the wife and I are, as well.  Flying out waaaay too early on Wed morning.

  5. This won't matter if we don't beat BU, and there's no guarantee UNO gets past Providence.

If the matchup does materialize, I'm more concerned about playing another conference team that we've had mixed success against this season, than the fact that their coach coached at UND over a decade ago.

  6. Maybe I have my green glasses on but I thought that was a good call by the officials. LaLeggia tee'd the vulnerable player up with a shot to the head. Why do you say LaLeggia got screwed?

I didn't think it was an intentional head-shot, but it definitely hit there. Worst thing is, he'd have been better off going for the puck instead of the hit - could've been a nice steal
  7. You're feeling a little optimistic with UND having 3 goals (in one game) aren't you?  2-1 Sioux in OT.  Nail biter finish with a patented missed empty net opportunity and Quinny capitalizes and forces the extra frame.  Thompson from the point with the OT winner.  Put it on the board!

    More than a little :)

I feel good about this one.  Maybe it's just having our Force boys back in the arena.  Maybe it's because I felt this team could be the one to hang #8, even before the season started.  Maybe I'm delusional?  Regardless, I think the boys take this one and move on to face Tech tomorrow.

  8. They did have re entry at the X, only they stamped your hand and required your ticket. There was a short wait, but nothing like the gong show at the Target Center. You shouldn't have to work on things like opening the doors when they are supposed to open.

LOL - that was the "smoker stamp" you got if you went out through the smokers' area.  It was a short, albeit smelly, walk to get clear of them and get on with what you left to do.  Coming back in, you just had to use the same door. They didn't officially have re-entry.

  9. Its is here! One of the top 3 least productive work days of the year! Yesterday was spent setting up my bracket pool, today will be reading all of the NCAA hockey material that is out there and looking forward to the games, with a little work sprinkled in. My company is so lucky to have me :)

Here is to a big weekend for the Sioux, and another unproductive work day in two weeks! Go Sioux!

LOL - this hits VERY close to home!

  10. My guess is the same end the Force shoots twice......Almost positive they are in the Force locker room.

One more try.  The home team (The Force) shoot at the SOUTH end twice.  The Sioux are the #1 seed and using The Force's locker room, so they should be shooting at the SOUTH end twice. :D

  11. We bounced all over downtown and never had bad service   I wonder what this missing service from St. Paul was?  I have always had good service there, too, but didn't feel like I was missing anything in Mpls.  There are definitely more people in Mpls who aren't there for hockey, so maybe more crowded?  Less comradery?

If you want to say you couldn't eat at the Pourhouse, I'd certainly agree.  We couldn't even find a seat there either day.  Darn Sioux fans took all of them before the wife and I arrived!

  12. Club seats are simply a row of chairs on the rail behind the regular seats. So club seats are between the suites and the regular seats. Here is a seating chart  for Force games:

http://www.fargoforce.com/page/show/1274451-seating-chart   The dark green section all the way around the arena is where the club seats are.

South club is different than club seats on the rail. South Club is at the south end of the arena (home team shoots there twice) and has its own seats and rail.  It's a purple section on the link you posted.

  13. So when Hak lost in the conference tournaments they were big games but Blais continuing to fail to even make it out of the first round does not qualify as big games.

    Logic checks out.

Pretty much exactly what I was thinking when I read that post!

  14. Edit: sorry, my quote didn't work from my phone.  I was replying to poster asking if Al really got kicked out.

Just from that section. The picture I posted of him was from before the games started. He liked that pic and was trying to get it on the video board at the tourney. I have a Twitter account, so they sent it to me to tweet to the nchc accounts. Figuring he wanted the world to see it, and finding the topic on here that fit, I tried attaching it here.
