  1. New softball field opens this Saturday. Looking good!
  2. I think Romfo's arm is stronger than we've seen. If you watch his HS film, he's making some pretty long throws on the run. To my very amateur eye, when he short hops throws, it's because he doesn't get his feet set or he's rushes it just a bit. I think we need to get him throwing on the move a bit more until he's more comfortable passing with his feet set.
  3. San Diego appears to have quite a few grad students and seniors leading the way. Definitely a team with experience. They held Cal Poly to 8 rushing yards on 18 attempts. UND is a young team and needs to be well prepared. It most likely won't be the ISU game again as sometimes things snowball on teams (38-0). QB - Grad student Top 3 RBs - Grad students WR1 - Senior WR2 - Junior WR3 - Senior Top 2 TEs - Junior and Senior OL - Junior, Junior, Grad, Junior, Senior Top 10 tacklers, in order -Senior, Grad, Senior, Junior, Grad, Senior, Grad, Soph, Senior, Senior
  4. More of this on Saturday! Rucker torched that tackle.
  5. San Diego beat Cal Poly for what it’s worth. They’ll be fresh off a bye. Hopefully UND has a great week of practice and takes another step forward as a team.
  6. Someone he’s likely never even seen practice
  7. Yes, he missed some easy throws. We get it. Still had more passing yards than any game last season and on 65.7%. Personally, I think he can correct some things and make those throws he missed. You seem to want him to fail for whatever reason.
  8. Belquist seems to think it was the OC. There are other articles about Romfo being told by the OC hes the starter. Not hard. “He knows how to win, he knows how to control a game, and I think Coach Fruechte saw that and liked that,” Wide Receiver and Team Captain Bo Belquist said. “He played really well this fall camp. He controlled the ball, didn’t have too many turnovers, just played smart.” https://www.valleynewslive.com/2024/08/26/langdon-areas-simon-romfo-ready-lead-und-offense/
  9. It was: Fruechte said he also looked at leadership when picking his quarterback. "We looked at the opportunity of being in front of the team and how you handle that," Fruechte said. "He does a great job communicating with our guys. He's not a loud person. He's quiet, not a rah-rah guy. He's an every-day guy who competes his butt off." https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/college/und-coaches-teammates-label-simon-romfo-as-tough-consistent-and-a-winner
  10. Etsu had soooo many chances to end it lol
  11. Not sure what point you’re making here?
  12. What does being from ND have to do with it? schuster was from Michigan and he played a few games.
  13. Tell that to the OC who played in the NFL.
  14. Romfo had some bad throws that should be easy throws, but finished 25/38 (65.7%) for 287 yards and two TDs. He’s got a ton to improve on obviously, but I’m sure he’s aware of that. Side note: career high for Bo today. Guess there was some sort of passing game? Jerry will get his chance. I do wish they got him in much sooner. Not sure what the thinking was there.
  15. 2-1! Tons to get better at, but 52 points and lots of positives as well! Keep getting better - on to San Diego!
  16. Man Hunt runs hard!
  17. Rucker is a beast
  18. Yeah get Bo out of the game please…
  19. Great tackle to force that fumble!
  20. Get a stop here and get the subs in
  21. Career high for Bo!
  22. Bo!!!!
  23. Love watching Smith!
  24. An 8 minute drive here would be great…
  25. I agree 100 percent but we just beat the #4 team in the country who played for the natty last season.
