Statistically he had a pretty good year last season. Hoping he makes another jump!

Agreed that the LBs should be better as a whole. Lot of experience returning. But their jobs depend a lot on the d line. Hope Beach and Orlando go out with a bang at DT. Not sure who is behind those two. DE has major questions. Big opportunity for Teiken. Going to need the transfers to make a splash. Same with the safety position. I’m curious if anyone had heard much on JUCO transfer safety Jonethan Wiltshire?

Random Thursday thoughts: I have seen a couple of clips of Jerry throwing and it seems like he can really sling it. Looking ahead, I know UND has a ton of questions on the o-line, at QB, and defensively. However, if they can figure out a way to get their run blocking down early, I am not ruling out a win against Montana (I woke up optimistic today). Iowa State sounds like it will be a really solid team, so whoever the QB is for UND that game would absolutely need to play out of his mind. Given the history in FBS games and how nervous (minus Nebraska) UND typically looks in those games, I think it will be a long afternoon. Yes, Montana is coming off a fantastic season. However, they lose one of the most electric QBs in the country and will have questions at QB as I believe their back-up transferred out as well. Not easy for a new QB to come to the Alerus. He will, however, have a TON of weapons, but will have a new center and tackle. The center was 2nd team all Big Sky and started a ton of games in his career. The tackle was a captain and all conference honorable mention. They had an awesome defense last season, but appear to lose a ton of guys on that side of the ball. Obviously, they'll re-load both offensively and defensively. All I am saying is feed Z and Isaiah + Alerus Center magic and you never know!
