  1. Spencer Kuhlman is a defenseman from Grand Forks on Shattuck St. Mary's AA team (2-4-6) this season.
  2. Nolan Patrick is the 5th leading scorer on the Winnipeg Hawks. Dylan Thiessen plays on the Monarchs is (25-15-40) in 17 games. Thiessen plays in the same league as Patrick. Cam Maclise is tied for 2nd in scoring in the AJHL, he is 6'4" 195 (11-33-44) on the season. 2010-2011 he was (26-25-51), 2011-2012 he was (32-50-82). He has two teammates tied for 4th in scoring in the AJHL, Mark Reners (19-18-37) this season, 2011-2012 he was (41-36-77); Dakota Mason (14-23-37) this season, 2011-2012 he was (12-26-38). Two guys I've mentioned Shane Pilling (age 19) is 6th in scoring in the AJHL and Maddison Smiley (age 18) is tied for 9th in scoring in the AJHL. None of these guys are recruited yet Maclise, Reners, and Mason are 20 this year.
  3. I'm guessing Blayke Nelson on Warroad is related to Brock Nelson.
  4. I wonder how big his brother is? Chris Martenet is 6'6" defenseman at Shattuck. Thomas Haas is 6'5" 218 defenseman at Shattuck. Anyone know anything about Spencer Kuhlman?
  5. Georgy Gorodetsky last year on the AA team (42-31-72). Kevin Dineen last year on the AA team (39-51-90) this year on the U16 team (19-19-38). Tyler Vesel was talked about in overtheboards.net http://overtheboards.net/?p=463. on the 2011-2012 Prep team (29-45-74) this year he's (16-22-38) on the Prep team. Three others to look at Alex Falconer 2011-2012 AA team (30-31-61) 2012-2013 Prep team (3-7-10), Max Becker 2011-2012 Prep team (34-36-70) 2012-2013 Prep team (10-22-32), Alex Rodriguez 2012-2013 AAA team (34-37-74) 2012-2013 Prep team (11-10-21).
  6. Jordan Greenway is (13-28-41) on the U16 team at Shattuck-St.Mary's. It looks like he has a brother that play's on the Bantam team at Shattuck, JD Greenway (5-12-17). Clayton Keller on the Bantam team at Shattuck also is (20-28-48). Georgy Gorodetsky on Shattuck's AAA team (21-29-50)
  7. Jordan Greenway a 6'5" forward sounds like he should be a defenseman. Curtis Skip of the Grande Prairie Storm is 7-2-2 2 shutouts, 2.00 GAA .932 SV%. Played for Canada West in the World Jr. "A" Challenge where he got the silver.
  8. Since there has been some talk in the North Dakota vs. DU topic about Kaip, McMahon, Prpich, and Zach Jones. Whitecourt Wolverines in the AJHL have three guys Mathieu Guertin (23-25-48) leads the AJHL, Jerome Raymond (24-20-44) second in the AJHL, and Mathieu Gagnon (3-15-18) that will drop the gloves if need be. Guertin is 5'11" 184 can hold his own in a fight. Gagnon is 6'2" 216 in a video on youtube if one of his teammates gets ran into the boards illegally, he'll fight the opposing player. Raymond is 6'0" 190 and plays physical. One problem in recruiting them is they all played in the QMJHL before comming to the AJHL.
  9. I think Bryn Chyzyk has a brother. Adam Panzarella follows guys on the team, might be Andrew's brother.
  10. It looks like there is two Riley Simpson's the one that was a reserve player for the Brooks Bandits plays at Ohio State but is not Dillon's brother. For some reason he is listed as a reserve player for the Bandits. Dillon's brother is in the Alberta AAA Midget Hockey League playing for SSAC Boston Pizza Athletics. He is (11-19-30) in 18 games.
  11. Riley Simpson in 18 games is (11-19-30) and is tied with Madison Dunn (10-20-30) in 17 games in the Alberta AAA Midget Hockey League. Madison Dunn was just added to the Brooks Bandits of the AJHL. Riley Simpson is a reserve player of the Brooks Bandits, in 2010 (16-18-34) in 58 games, in 2011 (35-41-76) in 59 games.
  12. Then take in account of the Mr. Hockey candidates each year.
  13. Just because Gersich's family went to MInnesota doesn't mean he wants to go there. I'll be optimistic and say he comes to UND. I also believe UND has a chance to recruit any of the top players in Minnesota, not just the Gophers.
  14. The last time I watched a game on NBC Peirre Macquire talked most of the game about UND and the REA. UND wasn't even playing in the game.
  15. The only one I see leaving early is Bjugstad
  16. Penticton Vees Troy Stecher (4-16-20) and Ryan Gropp (6-11-17) are still uncommitted, I'd like to see Gropp committ to UND.
  17. I got a feeling Shane Gersich will come to UND. Jake Guentzel is going to Nebraska-Omaha and not Minnesota where his dad played and is a coach. Ian McCoshen didn't have Boston College as his top three and he ended up going there.
  18. Minnesota is the biggest competition for Gersich and Hurley, but i don't see where the gophers have room to bring them in (only one senior on the team this year), and with how many players are committed. I also think the team should have 3 goalies that are able to be starters, like DU this year. I'd like to see more europeans come to UND. I look at it, if the coaches can get players to come from junior "A" teams in europe. It can create a pipeline of talent to UND, if BU and Maine can do it why not UND.
  19. In the OJHL Tyler Gjurich is (27-23-50) not recruted yet.
  20. I think Shane Gersich will come to UND. Brooks Bandits have a team that putting up good numbers, the team is 25-1 on the year. I'll say Conner Hurley is a 50/50 shot at the moment. Comrose Kodiaks rookie Brett Njaa started out strong he's (8-11-19) AJHL leading scorer, Whitecourt Wolverines forward Mathieu Guertin (23-21-44) his teammate Jerome Raymond is second in the AJHL scoring (21-18-39)
  21. I also thought the womans Associate Head Coach Peter Elander might have connections to bring in europeans to the mens team.
  22. I'm sure the coaches are looking at Shattuck. That was why I thought his son's went went to Shattuck. I think UND is i good position to get top players from there since Minnesota from what I've seen has no room for players in the next two years. I think the AJHL is the hot bed this year, UND lost out on Brooks Bandits forward Anthony Petruzzelli last year (23-24-47) this year (16-14-30) he commited to Vermont.
  23. He has two brother that play on the AAA team at Shattuck-St. Mary's. I think he might come here if Marty has talked to Zajac or Parise about colleges his son's should goto.
  24. The two best D men in the AJHL are on the Brooks Bandits Shane Pilling (6-28-34) and Maddison Smiley (14-13-27) last year he was (0-8-8). Brooks Bandits goalie is 22-1 in 23 games this season 4 shutouts 2.00 GAA .906 SV%. Last season he was 11-1 in 12 games 1 shutout 2.24GAA .898 SV%. Kyle Hayton is a former Shattuck-St. Mary's goalie, in 4 years at Shattuck-St. Mary's 119 games played 102-12-5 1.72 GAA .925 SV %. he's not doing well at Sioux City in 4 game 3 loses and one OTL 3.49 GAA .870 SV%. Anthony Brodeur Shattuck-St. Mary's Goalie, last year 24-3-1 4 shutouts 2.31 GAA .900 SV% Anthony Brodeur is wanting to go the college route not QMJHL. http://www.nhl.com/i...s.htm?id=637106 Ryan MacInnis is one I hope commits to UND he's 3-3-6 in 18 games. Nolan Stevens is a name that jumped out to me, he has no points on the U.S. under-17 team.
  25. I think UND will sweep Colorado College, Thorimbert hasn't looked good this season, Howe who I believe is the better of the two goalies has looked bad also. If Zane plays this weekend give him the start Friday and Clarke the start Saterday.
