Basically they are now Tier 1 like the USHL with AJHL following them. As said above they can now get players all over Canada.

I expect AJHL to follow as what has been reported.

AFA is NEVER leaving Atlantic Hockey, their coach said when asked years ago when the WCHA added Omaha. "Why don't you join the WCHA?" He said "We couldn't compete in the conference with the recruit we can get, and we are competitive in Atlantic Hockey. Time to drop the AFA is leaving Atlantic hockey when it's never happening.
