Teams wanting to add 2 more coaches, they would be on ice non-recruiting. I don’t hate it, it would put it on par with the NHL and pros. Using UND as an example: Jax (HC), Smaby (AHC), Simpson (AC), JPL (GC), Ulmer (PDC/VC), Bryn (GM). Using Jason Ulmer at that position, interesting he’s a scout for the Regina Pat’s. Having someone with no ties to UND as a player development coach wouldn’t be a bad idea either, getting some new blood in the coaching pipeline. You know they’ll want someone with NCAA/NHL experience to fill those rolls if the NCAA allows it.

With the top 8/bottom 8 idea it basically gets rid of having a bracket. The NHL, and their playoffs bracket is a dumpster being set on fire and thrown into a black hole by Bettman, doesn’t reseed. So why should the NCAA, if a 4 seed beats a 1 seed they should play the 2 or 3 seed they should face. Not shipped off to another side of the bracket to play another 1 seed.

If they expanded the tournament to 24 and give the top two seeds a bye in each regional, that would move it to a super regional format.

Ban the light shows after goals, only the flashing stations, smoke cannons (should have these light up or in a color), and fireworks (squibs).

This fall the committee will pick the next Frozen Four sites and regionals.
