Ivar Stenberg doesn't jump out with his number but is playing/played 7 games in the SHL so not sure if he was loaned from the U20 team.

His brother just went to the dumpster fire that is Omaha Lancers
-
Massen the last one?

So 30 days before AIC decided to drop their program to D2 Eric Lang got a email about $30 to $50 million donation (he called it a performer) to put a rink on campus.

Aiden Oiring to Omaha not a bad pick-up Rocco Grimaldi size
-
Looked to me Burns broke his stick when he took his skates out.
-
Saw a video of it, his stick exploded when shooting before he was taken down. Probably shouldn’t have been awarded a goal to me.

In Brads article, I was wondering if he asked them if they were trying to play close to home UND, Bemidji, etc…

Exhibition games, should there be a change or the status quo
cberkas replied to cberkas's topic in Men's Hockey
Not that I know of but there was some concern that Sasha got hurt against Manitoba at the end of the game. I think this is the latest UND has played Manitoba in the season. I just remember coaches (mainly back East) bring it up as a reason to not play the USport teams anymore. I also have wondered if a player gets hurt playing Manitoba would UND still play them. -

They don’t, but what I was getting at that I don’t see UND paying two AHA teams to come to Grand Forks. If they are going to pay a team to come to Grand Forks might as well make it count. -
What I don't like is how the shootout doesn't count (outside conference points) but every conference does it anyway. Just make the shootout count in the PWR and get rid of ties. What really should be done is 5x5 or 4x4 for 20 minutes (15 would work too) and no shootouts. If shootouts don't count for anything outside of conference point, then why do they have them. It's not like the NCAA is doing a W-L-SOW-SOL or W-L-SOL. The shootout isn't all that exciting to begin with anyway.

I think it has more to do with how dumb the rule really was.

With some talk about exhibition games, should there be a change in who gets scheduled each year. With a few NCAA teams a few years ago talking about how they didn't like playing USport (Canadian) teams because they were playing to injure players. After the COVID season teams were allowed to play exhibition games against NCAA D1 teams. Looking at this season 2024-25 there were 28 NCAA D1 teams scheduled (14 games), 17 USport games, 4 NCAA D2 teams (these actually count to the record), 1 NCAA D3, 6 ACHA games (2 teams), 13 U18, 12 Simon Fraser, and 10 teams didn't play an exhibition game. The 2019-20 season had 38 USport games and 2 Simon Fraser. The 2022-23 season had 20 NCAA D1 teams (10 games), 18 USport games, 5 ACHA, and 2 Simon Fraser. I didn't check U18 or D2/D3 in 2019-20 and 2022-23 seasons also didn't look in-depth at Simon Fraser games either. Should UND keep scheduling Manitoba every year, play a NCAA team (play Bemidji in an exhibition and play the other old WCHA teams during the season), or play a ACHA team? I'm fine with playing Manitoba but they like to play dirty late in games since they always get blown out by NCAA teams they play. So, lately I've been thinking maybe playing Manitoba isn't really for the best of the team. If there was a NCAA team to play in an exhibition, make it Bemidji or an AHA team that but a game against an AHA team you'd want to count for the PWR later in the season since UND should beat them easy (we've all seen how that hasn't always worked out). If there was a way to start the season a weekend early to play an up-and-coming ACHA team I'd be for it and UND, did it with NAU before.

2024-25 University of North Dakota Hockey Season

Two backups and an injured goalie on that list -
No, to anyone. Landon Dupont is following a few NCAA teams so maybe him also heard Mews is who it might be to a Boston school or Michigan I saw there have been 57 CHL commits so far
-
Sounds like a high end CHL player is going to announce their commitment soon.
-
After the JMU getting a bowl game a year early not surprised this would happen.
-
I don't blame BU wanting him out of that mess in Omaha. I see them redshirting him now so he can practice with the team. Wonder if other NCAA team with commits there are trying to get their players to other USHL, CHL, BCHL teams so they are not in that toxic environment.

2024-25 University of North Dakota Hockey Season

Against ASU I noticed this a lot. In the ASU zone there was no UND players in front of the goalie. In UNDs zone ASU had a place living in front of the goalie taking away the eyes and there was no UND defense to clear them out. -
Skating in the new rink, their first game there is the 20th
-
Feels like he should have retired a year or two ago.
-
Gophers have a 25 year old lol
-
Brandon Lisowsky to CC a nice get for them
-
More detail and that AIC has people trying to keep them D1. I've heard from people in that area that the school could close in around 5 years.

We beat Rowe but lose to Hampton playing in front of friends and family.
