Don't take this as me defending that UND is doing the right thing by being set up this way, but it's kind of hard to ignore the $100M donation (and repeat smaller donations) meant specifically for that sport. I don't like biting the hands that feed us, but in a sense, the Engelstads are "hockey only" fans (although, where the BB and VB teams play also bear the Engelstad name) and have created a culture of "hockey only" fans.

I know a lot of UND fans who do this, and it pi$$es me off because, like you say, it's also a dig on UND FB.

Absolutely. Getting to middle-of-the-pack this season would be a tremendous positive sign. Would give me a lot of hope in years 2-4 of the Tupac era.

Am I out of line here in suggesting that we nab a NDSU (gasp!) coordinator or assistant and tell them to do in Grand Forks what they did in Fargo? I hate NDSU FB and their success as much as anyone on here (someone mentioned that some UND hockey fans are Bison fans for other sports - I especially hate that approach), but you have to admit that they know how to get it done.

I decided not to even finish out the SIU thread during and after the game. I'm sure it's all doomsday over there. I can't say I am happy with the performance on Saturday, but I think that, if, before the season started, a psychic said you will be 2-2 entering the Homecoming game, that's a scenario that most people would take. Now, a loss of any kind on Homecoming will be damaging for playoff potential, fan interest, etc. MUST WIN GAME if UND is to remain relevant in 2022. I am praying all week for Bubba and his staff to figure this one out.

I think they record it on Wednesday (today). Not sure if it will be released later today or tomorrow. I usually listen on Thursdays, so I kind of associate that podcast with Thursdays.

No one said anything about listening to an actual radio. I was just pointing out to those who were asking about listening to the “radio” broadcast while watching the streaming feed that you cannot be listening on an actual radio because the streaming feed will never catch up.

This would play perfectly into our passing game, so it would seem. Since that's our strength, maybe SUI is working on this in preparation for us.

Right, I knew you were, but was just making a statement for anyone else who may try to do it that they can't listen to the radio radio. (unless they've found/made a solution to that I am not aware of)

Not sure this needs saying, but I will say it just in case: You will not be able to sync the video with the radio audio if you are listening on an actual radio (am I dating myself??), as the radio will always be ahead of the video.

Yes. In some ways it was a "perfect" win. Came through in the clutch both offensively and defensively when the game was on the line, and on the road, to boot. BUUUUT, so many lessons to be learned as to why we shouldn't be in that position in the first place. We won by 2 against UNI, 3 against NAU, so I am going to say we keep pace with the improvements and win by 4 over SIU

Yes. Oct 1 is the hockey exhibition game and also the homecoming game against Missouri State. If we can beat the Salukis next week, that could set up an easily hyped game of Top 15 teams against the Bears. Have to keep the hockey crowd interested, especially when both teams have games on the same day.

I’m going to stick my nose out here and say we win again. Yesterday had to be a confidence booster, and I believe we will play better.
