is that what's been holding him back all year do we think ...or new injury?

Don’t know. I try to follow Bison football as little as possible. But flipped on their game today because UND has a stake in their fate.

And he only threw that because it was 4th down....might as well throw it up and hope.  If that was 3rd down he throws it out of the back of the end zone.

Good points. I was thinking the safe play was out the back of the end zone, even on 4th down.

  3. Still too close for my comfort level throughout the game, but it turned out about exactly the way most thought it would. Kudos to special teams for saving the game. Great job by them. Defense still needs work if we’re going to win a playoff game.

  4. Whipped pretty bad in set 3. Tonight was a rebuilding reality check. While we did beat NDSU and have gone toe to toe with the top of the conference, this team isn’t good enough to go from worst to first in one season.  My hopes peaked a bit early.  It’s been a good season.  Can’t deny how far Tupac has gotten them in just one year. His tenure is going to be awesome.

Thanks to all the seniors and early graduators - Enjoyed watching you play. Thanks for all the hard work and your contributions to UND football. You be will be missed. Good luck to you as you transition to civilian life. Hugs!

    Amen!

So I'm a big fan of superstitions and routines when it comes to sports, and I have a "lucky" UND football shirt. Green shirt with a hawk on it. Pretty simple.

UND has played well every time I wore it this season, including the loss to Nebraska where overall I though UND played well and surprised fans. The shirt came out for the next two weeks and produced wins, but then stayed in the drawer while I coached youth softball during the S. Illinois game. It reappeared for the next two games as we continued to improve our record. Now here is the kicker ... it made an appearance during the first half of the SDSU game. I had been out hiking with family and made it home just before half time .... changed at half time because I had been hiking and the team completely fell apart. Now it has produced two more wins in the past due week.

I'll take the responsibility for the loss to the Bunnies, I should have known better. The shirt will be ready to go this weekend to clinch the playoffs, and again the following weekend to get a seed! #RideTheShirt :D haha

I've had a similar experience this year, with listening on the radio or paying attention to SS.com vs. watching on TV (especially the Midco broadcasts).  For Nebraska, I was enjoying Labor Day weekend and following the thread.  For UNI (Potato Bowl), I watched on ESPN3.  For Southern Illinois, I had just bought a new TV and was setting it up while the game was going on (That was the first time Midco had broadcasting rights).  For NAU, I listened to the whole game on radio, since I do not subscribe to ESPN+ (sounds like the feed/audio was terrible that game, so nothing lost there).  For Missouri State, I was was vacationing in Maine and paid attention on SS.  For YSU, I did a combination of TV and radio, and was listening to radio during the crucial blocked punt returned for TD and final defensive play of the game.  For SDSU, I was in the car returning home from Fargo listening to the radio during the first 3 sequences of the game.  When we scored the second touchdown, we were just outside GF and I said to my wife that we're going to need to check to see if the Alerus Center still had a roof!  Walking from the car to the house was when the INT happened, and I watched the rest of the game on TV.  I watched most of the ACU game on TV, but ran an errand and listened on the radio during the interception and final time consuming drive.  I stayed in the car after parking in the garage to hear the remaining of the game because I could not risk anything like the SDSU game:).  For Indiana State, I followed exclusively on SS due to deer hunting.  Now as I head into the crucial last two games of the regular season, I'm not sure what I will do.

  7. Is the USD game a case where our offense just has to outscore their offense?  I think it's pretty safe to say that UND can/will score at least 28.  Their offensive output is light by comparison, but may find success if our defense doesn't show up.  Even still, I think their point total would be somewhere in that 21-24 range.  A stolen possession in UND's favor will go a long ways in helping secure victory.  A lost possession would make the game noticeably tighter.

You could drop to a six-seed at worst. Kansas City in seventh place is four games back from UND, with four games left.  You win a tie based on H2H wins.  So you’re in.  Question is:  would you rather have NDSU or Denver in a first round?  I vote Denver.

Like I mentioned earlier, I would like to get to No. 3 seed.  A little more challenging now that we lost back-to-back matches.

If we end up losing to NDSU,  I'd take that.

Agreed.  If we’re not seeded, that would be an ideal bracket imo.

Then the comeback in 2011 I believe when it felt like UND was getting run out of the Alerus. Some fun memories.

A lot of people on here with mixed opinions on that game. It felt great at the time, but may have hurt us in the not-so-distant future.

The 2016 game was also a wild one. 47-44 in OT, I believe.  I think we would have been 0-3 to start the season without that win.
