  1. Milne left Mich today.....from the looks of it he wasn't getting playing time.
  2. You have to be Pat?!?
  3. I saw the game as well....fun to watch.
  4. ....with all Sioux fans. Last years game was all Sioux fans.
  5. Sad....but you are so right.
  6. Not sure....but I do enjoy that rink. I have always wanted to get into broom-ball.
  7. What's funny is we haven't lost since 11/30 and CC hasn't won since 11/30 (against us). I was aware they were struggling but I didn't realize it was this bad. They have also given up a ton of goals...hopefully their confidence is free-falling and we get a needed sweep.
  8. Slight advantage...no much...but slight. Probably not even worth arguing about. You're a pretty classy fellow.
  9. I have played at the Ralph during our state tourney's and yes it was harder to see teammates wearing white jerseys...not much, but a little. During the NHL playoffs the home fans would all wear white to cause a "white-out" effect...again, I don't know the stats but it seemed to make a little sense to me.
  10. http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=413134 I think this is the biggest reason many kids choose the CHL over NCAA hockey....the chance to suit up for an NHL team and be able to go back to their junior club if they are not ready in their development.
  11. I am in agreement....I want dark jerseys at home. It is a slight advantage because you can see your teammates better on the ice. Have you ever played in a large arena (Ralph, X, etc)? when you are on the ice, the glare and the bright lights make is slightly hard to see white jerseys (no much but slightly). Also, when the home fans all wear white it is even harder. I know no stats....but from experience I can vouch to that.
  12. I agree, I rarely see large numbers of Badger fans.....usually just a see of green and a bunch of pissed off goofer fans.
  13. I agree, UND will need to play its best on the 18th & 19th....but I feel they will. With Rocco and Parks back I feel we match up with them real well. If we play extremely well in our own zone...we will win both those games.
  14. ...ouch. What I was trying to say was....school probably isn't his thing and/or he might have been getting bad advice (from someone). I was agreeing with misssioux that London does, indeed, have 2 other solid goalies...making his decision odd. Sorry for using the work "headcase" maybe I should have said he isn't the "school type".
  15. Dark jerseys at home...it's a slight advantage.
  16. Oh....right. He was probaby a headcase in the classroom and he's getting the wrong advice.
  17. Don't listed to anyone bash the NTHC....this conference will be awesome, at least for the forseeable future. Look at the records and recruits this conference is pulling in. Should be fun. The goofs will have an easy schedule and will most likely be over ranked for much the year....but that all is exposed at some point or another (cough cough...Notre Dame).
  18. That's what I was telling everybody....ND's schedule was whack! They only played OK which got (sorry for grammer) dismantled by Texas A&M. I took the 9.5 line easy.
  19. You obviously don't watch too many games.
  20. Odonnell hasn't impressed me the least bit so far with the Sioux. I honestly have barely even noticed him. However, he's not a 3rd or 4th line player.....but from what I've seen he's not a 1st or 2nd liner either....I've been pretty confused with all the hype I've seen in this forum regarding him. Hopefully he picks it up.
  21. As example, I meant hypothetical....I could have used any two schools....they were simply on my mind. I also could have flip-flopped the teams.
  22. Good thing they have 3 goalies left.....I'm sure he simply wanted more playing time.
  23. Totally agree. The #1 issue for me, personally, are the number of penalties called (in most games). I would say it is not as bad as the WJC's and those Euro-refs but it is out of control. It seems to me there are many times where half the game is played on special teams. The big difference in the way the game is played between the NCAA and the CHL/AHL/NHL is simply the amount of special teams play. It seems to me WCHA refs make the total number of penalties, for both teams, roughly equal by game's end but definitely not "tick for tack". The gophs will have 2-3 PP's in a row....but then at the end of the game (when it is pretty much in the bag) they'll give the Sioux 2-3 PP's (just an example). Now, most of the penalties may be legit (I guess) but many are not...they are simply make-up calls. Again...officiating is terrible at the college level. If my son were good enough to play past high school/juniors I think learing how to play even strength hockey is one of the most important skills; I definitely have heard that being the choice by some kids who take the CHL route rather than NCAA. Sorry I'm rambling off topic....I'll quit.
  24. I'll be back....I simply enjoy watching the best in the world play.
