The D wasn't the problem last night. Scsu didn't generate much whatsoever. There was one extremely weak goal and two deflections. The problem is that we don't have guys going to the net. We hold onto the puck far too long and are only getting perimeter shots where the goalies have gear looks.

I saw that. When i looked earlier this week (because of this thread) he had Nodak recruit or committed to UND. He would have had to change that. Schloss also tweeted something about his commitment not showing up on the NTDP page earlier today.

I think it's a valid point. I honestly don't pay attention too much to all the bickering with Dave but there is one thing that is certain. Over time the big10 will get to be a very good conference. The schools are too big, look at the recruits some of these schools are starting to get. Also, the big 10 is decent this year. We sh!t the bed against them. Ok, I'm out.

Is there video of the second goal Tomek let in Friday night? Edit: I saw it. I heard the slapshot was deflected. Because the resolution was so bad I couldnt really tell. Sounds like both goals were deflected and Berry wanted to get the guys going a bit.

I think they'll have to be careful with him. He has put up a ton of points but he is a senior playing a very low level of hockey (compared to similar type Und recruits). I would think Berry would need to see him play in the ushl. He is also pretty small by the looks of it. The one positive is that he lead the #1 team in scoring for this past summers elite league. This kid has scsu written all over him.

Judging by his twitter account I would say he still is...unless Und pulled the scholarship. I know he got into some trouble recently. I would say he still is though.

I don't disagree with you on the D talent (just the assessment of wolanin and shaw so far in their careers). We definitely are a little thin, and will be more so next season. Just a recruiting gap I guess. The big focus has been on getting local kids, they've missed on some higher end kids lately.

Well given we have barely seen Tomek I cant respond on him (and both goals last Friday were not solely his fault, especially the first one). I have WAY more confidence in Cam than Rinks...they really should not be comparable. It should be either Cam or Tomek. I've seen a few softies by Cam but he hasn't been downright terrible. He's been average, and given our current situation that's fine.

Doubtful. I dont think rinks was tested whatsoever.
