  1. It's a good question. Barring an unknown injury, I don't think he'll be ready for the NHL next year. He may need a year in the A similar to Brock Nelson. Boeser has an unreal shot (even by NHL standards) but his release is pretty slow which is why so many of his shots get blocked. He also needs to work on his puck retreival (D game). I honestly think he is a perfect example of a player that needs to stay another year.....but he won't. It's unfortunate that these kids get pushed so fast. And don't think this is a knock on Boeser, the kid's elite. I just think (based on what I've seen from him this year) he could use at least one more year. Kids that make it to the NHL out of the gate dominate college hockey. Also, there's nothing wrong with playing in the A for a year.
  2. Haha....I don't think they are. So far, I think they are overachieving by a WIDE margin. They should be bottom of the barrel.
  3. No. The hosts were wondering why Boeser hasnt been doing well. They were inquiring how boeser's skating is, why he hasnt been scoring on the PP. He did note that the plan was that Boeser is leaving after the year. Long story short, they wanted to know why Boeser has been underachieving so much this year.
  4. Was he referring to his son...who was a good player at RR?
  5. I've seen two of their game in the Twin Cities. They are awesome....and very big.
  6. Ryan Potulny was a wrecking ball. Shocked he wasnt mentioned already.
  7. If we're healthy we're sweeping. Book it.
  8. I follow schloss on twitter. That is kind of what I'm referring to. Per his game log he it appears he played on 1/27. Also, bast was out of the lineup again last night.
  9. I am confused, it appears he played on 1/27.
  10. That I don't know. It was just so obvious that there is no way Toronto could miss something like that. There must have been some reason.
  11. Didn't coyle pull the puck back to the blue line to re-establish possession? When coyle initially caught the puck it was still in the ozone (as well as parise) and that is what everyone (including the announcers) was looking at. However, I could have sworn coyle pulled the puck back to the blue line.
  12. Yeah, it just came out of right field. as it relates to NE, Look who they ran into. They may have had better luck against another team.
  13. ....and? What I am trying to say is that Providence may be a better team after the the Goph's Novak loss. Also, the ref's start swallowing their whistles come tourney time...the gophs are much easier when they don't sit on the PP the entire game.
  14. I think Prov would be tougher than MN. The gophs just lost Novak for the season and Providence has been on fire.
  15. I like those lines, although smith and Olson are a toss up for me. I doubt Berry changes the yon, Bowen, gornall line.
  16. Scsu's d core a very good. If they can get in, they'll be tough come tourney time. Other than Esseymont, none of their forwards are that good though.
  17. Never compare boeser to toews in a negative fashion
  18. I agree. He was a key cog. When he's the focus he is relatively easy (for good teams) to contain. His release needs to speed up and his motor needs work. These were masked playing with caggs and schmaltz last year. But he's young, he just needs to keep developing.
  19. Boeser isn't going to crack Vancouver's lineup. He'll play in Utica for a year
  20. I am talking about generating real offense....as in points
  21. He was shaky last night. But at least he trying to generate offense. After watching last night, I think him, gersich and poolman are the only players trying to generate offense.
