  1. Agreed. I bet they all stay. They will dominate.
  2. Agreed terrible news. Good thing for them is that they are bringing in a top notch (tiny) goalie and have an older group left from last year. They should still be good but to say they are national title contenders is probably a stretch.
  3. "He is a projected late round pick for this year’s NHL Entry Draft." I was referring to the fact they talk about "this year's draft". They also messed up his points/game calc....it's .6
  4. They note reid as a late round NHL draft pick in this year's upcoming draft....that has to be a typo. He's several year's away from being eligible.
  5. Stockpile them. They'll hit on a few of them. The others will go somewhere else.
  6. (beyond) Stupid rule....but it was the right call. Preds need the next one, Pit won't play that bad again in game 2.
  7. Anders Bjork signed with Boston. This is actually a big plus, Notre Dame was bringing everyone back. This also makes sense, he had no business coming back (other than a Natty I guess), but from a talent standpoint he is NHL ready.
  8. ...Granato got the follow back, I'd put my money on Wisco too . In all seriousnous, Wisconsin does have some decent recruits in those younger groups. Also, Granato is going to flip that program around quick.
  9. Sometimes the CHL can benefit a kid, from a confidence standpoint. Given what he did last year I doubt he'll ever be a high end NHL player and may simply toil around the minors. Kid could just be a bust. Never know. Quinn may not be overly disappointed he is reloading this coming year.
  10. That's crazy. Talk about a panic move
  11. True, but that happens every year, sounds like he's coming here but until they throw on the jersey I'm slightly skeptical. This is great news though. Big pick up.
  12. Pretty sure this kid has a similar ceiling.
  13. Ethan Bowen committed ('02 Yale Academy). That's a very big get. We'll see if he ends up here or not.
  14. Still curious how Isaac Johnson (DM) hasn't committed anywhere yet. He must be on Bub's radar.
  15. Maybe you should also take into account his age (and the way he plays). You see....when players get older....their stats tend to decrease over time. Especially when said player plays an aggressive style and they aren't built for that style physically. They may even miss a handful of games here and there due to injury. Also, Parise made it to the cup finals 1 time in NJ...in his prime. One more time than the Wild. You make it sound as though he was there every other year while in NJ.
  16. I'm not a huge Wild however your comment is straight out of right field.
  17. I've also heard this as well. Not sure how the Wild would absorb his cap hit though....even assuming he'd take a hometown discount.
  18. Curious what the injury is. He's pretty much been our since the World Junior A Challenge....which was mid December. It must be really bad.
  19. I don't think it's all his skating because I don't believe he's that bad of a skater (I've seen worse), I think it's more his positioning and the fact it takes him forever to get it off (release is very slow). As I've said before, I really wish these guys would hang around and try to crack the lineup as an upperclassman. I get he's getting some push back because he isn't playing, but the writing is on the wall. If he cant crack UND's lineup, there is a minuscule chance he does anything after college playing hockey.
  20. Whoops, didnt initially see Johnson in your listing.
  21. Agreed. I'm just shocked that a guy as good as Kiersted would risk sitting. Must be a smart kid and see the bigger picture. Get in the program and train. Also, Johnson has to be a close lock don't you think? He was pretty solid in that BU game if I remember and has decent size. The one thing that both Bast and Kiersted bring is a higher end o game. I do like our core for next year though. Entire team actually.
  22. Agreed no way chartrand even sniffs a game. But excluding chartrand, who sits? All our current guys developed nicely as the year went on and bast and kiersted are pretty dang talented.
  23. Kiersted coming in too? How many D do we have total now, 9?
  24. No, I was agreeing with you. But I'll bite and say Wilkie starts before Gornall or smith. But obviously wilkie would have to be much more productive in a top 6 role or learn how to play a bottom six role.
  25. That stinks.....unless he stays the same at CC. Like I've always said. College puck can be tough, sometimes you need a year or two to feel it out. On the flip side, the four you listed all need to play from day one, so someone would have to sit.
