No I wouldn't. I have no problem with players sticking up for a teammate. There was only one classless move in this case and that was the hit to Bristedt's head.

Wisconsin took an intentional cheap shot and the Gophers responded. If UND players acted the same way you would be praising them for sticking up for a teammate but of course when it's the Gophers they're classless. And that 2-1 scrum you guys keep mentioning is much about nothing. That happens every time there is a scrum of this size, every damn time. Players just start grabbing people and sometimes you'll see a 2-1 for a few seconds. The 2 Gopher players didn't plan it and the 3 Badger guys didn't plan the 3-1 scrum either. It just happens.

I'm pretty sure Letteiri left the bench because Skjei was coming out of the penalty box and heading to the bench and Letteiri would replace him. But as Skjei got near the bench that's when the hit happened so Skjei immediately went to Bristedt's defense and Letteiri was already coming onto the ice. This seems logical as I can't imagine he would be dumb enough to leave the bench for the sole purpose of fighting knowing the consequences.

So you didn't see the 3 Badgers triple teaming a Gopher then?

It's January. The Gophers have played 2 conference home games. The season just started.

When it's all said and done I think Michigan and the Gophers make the tourney and both are good enough to make a run. Michigan has been one of the better teams in the country after their tough start.

Because he was selling it to draw a penalty and the ref didn't buy it. The refs disagreed with you guys on both plays and its not tough to figure out why. You guys see what you want to see when it's about the Gophers and especially Rau.

Says the UND fan with green colored glasses on. Rau barely touched Rumpel which is why the ref who had a perfect view didn't call a penalty. And there was zero embellishment when he was cross checked. He went down and immediately got up. He did nothing to sell it.

Well it's not true so you can rest easy. The simple fact that it was Rau who took the cheap shot results in UND fans automatically dismissing it just shows a lack of objectivity. Announcer Rob Andringa immediately said it was a five and the replay confirmed it. And someone please explain to me the notion that a player can't take a cheap shot that results in a major but still be ok enough to play the next shift.

Great game. Things just aren't clicking for the Gophers. Played a very good road game and still lose. Good thing its early January. Knowing your team hasn't come close to peaking is exciting but also nerve racking wondering if it will happen. On a side note, with all the talk of the BIG hockey conference being down there is still no doubt that it has two teams very capable of winning it all. And I really think it's as down as it can be.

I should have said best atmosphere during league play. Place looks dead tonight lots of empty seats.

You'll love it, best arena in the Big Ten as far as atmosphere goes.
