  1. We are the 5 Break tiebreaker with KC on beating USD twice
  2. Is it too early to call the IL State/UNI game next week a knockout game, where the loser probably won't make the playoffs?
  3. Get to 3-0 Yotes are coming off a big win as well. They also want to end a long losing streak in GF. Take care of business and keep building the momentum. Then prepare for 3 straight on the road
  4. Couple of things to watch tomorrow: An NDSU win or ORU loss means that UND gets ORU in Round 1 An ORU win and NDSU loss means a UND/NDSU matchup in Round 1 If USD wins, they are a 1 seed. If they lose, SDSU gets the top seed.
  5. Who else does NDSU have behind Zeb? Don't they have a kid from Omaha coming in for the fall?
  6. If it’s Neko, that might mean Dave T will be back in Maroon and Gold.
  7. Bunnies sweep the Roos UND a 5 seed in SF
  8. Gophers continue to fall apart down the stretch, down 10 to Nebraska... yes, Nebraska. Its going to be curtains for Baby Pitino. Does this open the door for Craig Smith? If not, its time to #BringMussHome
  9. In the early evening games in da Summit ORU and probable POY Max Abmas helped to pull out an 85-81 win against WIU. Keep their chances for a top 3 seed alive USD takes down NDSU 80-71 but the big story is that Plitzuweit suffered a serious knee injury (the USD radio mentioned he went straight to the hospital in SF). A massive blow to USD going into the tomorrow and the tourney.
  10. This feels different.... However, I’m not going to get too over the top just yet. Beat the Yotes on Thursday to keep this momentum going.
  11. That was a 14 point swing. Go get a stop UND. Lets go
  12. That was ballsy
  13. BLOCK!
  14. SDSU takes down the Roos tonight. Helps out UND. Another SDSU win and UND will get the 5 seed in Sioux Falls. If KC wins tomorrow, UND is the 6th seed
  15. Omaha takes down Denver and clinches the last spot in the Summit Tournament. DU will miss the tournament. That might be curtains for Rodney Billups
  16. It will be interesting to see what happens in Sioux Falls. This team is fully capable of playing on Tuesday night for the title, but they are also inconsistent enough that they can lose by 10+ in round 1 if the shots aren't falling. SDSU/UMKC is the key series this weekend. Any Kansas City win will lock UND in the 6 seed. Two SDSU wins give them the 5 seed. Sadly, the losses to DU, WIU, and Omaha really hurt them down the stretch. Could have made it in the top 3 or 4 if they took care of business against those teams.
  17. Yes. Sounded like they got a charter to Normal (at least that is what was said on the Yotes board), so they can avoid one long bus ride (although I would rather drive up I-29 and see the beautiful Sisseton Hills before going through Iowa.)
  18. @JacksIllustrated A question about a couple of players from my neck of the woods. Is Winkleman the best pass rusher SDSU has (Had a good year last year) on the D-Line? What is SDSU expecting out of Jefferson Lee V this year?
  19. I'm excited to see what happens on Saturday. Big time opportunity here to make a statement. With that said, they have to be ready for a quick turnaround the next week against the Yotes. So don't get too high or too low after this one.
  20. I think they are both off to medical school. Not sure on Leets plan
  21. I like what G can bring to the team in terms of another post player that can stretch the floor and can knock down shots from the free throw line. He just has a knack of scoring in bunches and getting hot. There is a lot to like on the offensive side of things for him. He just can't seem to stay on the court because he always seems to pick up fouls at a rapid rate. I like looking at this website for stats and they include a lot of the advance stats. 2020-21 North Dakota Fighting Hawks Roster and Stats | College Basketball at Sports-Reference.com (sports-reference.com) I looked at the teams fouls per 100 possessions and per 40 minutes. If you look at G's Rate in those two stats, he would commit 9.6 fouls per 100 possessions and 6.6 fouls per 40 minutes. The next closest player to him in this stat, that gets significant minutes, is Sueker, who was at 6 per 100 and 4.1 fouls per 40 minutes. You can't stay on the court with those rates. He had similar issues with this last year as well. I hope he can follow a path where he can take a jump next season and be better on that end of the floor so he can show more of his offense. The problem is this: You have Sueker and Rebraca that are going to soak minutes at the 4 and 5. Sims can play at the 4. What about Bergan? Does he get minutes next season at the 4 if he is ready? Plus you have McGrath coming in, who will take minutes at the 5 if he plays right away.
  22. Also, has anyone figured out why G hasn't played in the last 4 games?
  23. I wish UND had a game this weekend, would have been nice to get 1 more game in before Sioux Falls
  24. Which open spots do they have? The two that are from Ramsey and DAE are being filled with Bruns and McGrath. The Panoam one will be filled by Grant (I think) So unless there is more roster turnover, UND is set for 21-22, I believe.
  25. USD and ORU called due to COVID. It might be possible that the only two schools to get through their seasons without any cancelled games in the Summit is UND and NDSU (unless it takes out the NDSU/USD games next weekend as well)
