  1. nothing wrong with getting stomped by a guy in a higher weight class. he hung in there for a bit but that was like a big brother little brother fight.
  2. THE University of North Dakota ManBearPigs? Half man half bear and half pig, it's a perfect mascot.
  3. Its also borderline projection. Since he/his school will be screwed if the morons win he is saying 'no, it's the NCAA that will be screwed'
  4. I get it now. It's so obvious. DaveK is Rob Port.
  5. It was a figure of speech, you're familiar with those right? Besides is one calling the kettle immature while throwing the equivalent of a 'but I want to keep it' temper tantrum directed at an organization that has the ability to put enourmous establishments to their collective knees all the while denying the immenent consequenses to a beloved school to the point of the denial forming a psuedo reality in ones mind ironic? Or is it just sad?
  6. Actually the world is going to end when you get and HDTV and stop using floppy disks. Hows that for a theory?
  7. The NCAA sucks, they are a bully, and..... they have us by the balls and then some. Punch them in the mouth and we lost everything. There will be no football program if we attempt to keep the nickname, its not possible to travel a team that size and not draw any fans to watch a crap game. People like you will bring the death of the football program. The hockey program will remain but you can bet it won't be the same. Your logic may have worked in elementary school, but this is the big leagues with something actually at state. You don't get it. I'm not expecting people like you to get it. You're no different than people who think GF Central should still be the Redskins. They have done just fine as the Knights and the school hasn't imploded.
  8. 75ish/25ish (with a side of mutt)
  9. There is incontinence and then there is what you write on this forum.... my goodness. You can't really be serious. What are we going to rub your nose in when we transition from D1 to NAIA when no D2 teams will play us? I used to want the nickname because I'm stubborn and Norwegian. But I also have a brain, its not hard to look down the tracks. There is a train coming and if we don't board we will be left behind looking like a bunch of fools thanks to morons like you.
  10. I did see a particularily dark and jacked man hanging around Kotelnicki and the linebackers at the practice I watched. There was also a different guy with the TE's alot bigger than Schleusner (however you spell that). No idea who either of them were.
  11. Thats exactly the crap I was talking about. I wonder how some people could tell him how big to build his sandbox and it work?
  12. I agree with the REA point. Every time I go to a game there I look around at the wasted space and think of how many more people could fit in there if they had a little vision with the project. Sure the old one was tiny and people thought the new one was going to be too big, but this is just another example of a lack of vision up here. We should have taken the hint from Fargo with the Fargo Loaf and built bigger stadiums. Instead of being reactive we need to start having more proactive visions up here.
  13. It's an exciting and progressive time in UND football. New unis, new locker room, new conference, new indoor practice facility finally on the horizon. O and some new players. Our program has alot going for it, hopefully they can keep the mojo rolling into the season.
  14. The kickers did look quite impressive, I did notice another kicker that looked very good kicking field goals early in practice too so apparently we have depth at kicker. I think Hansen is going to take the job, his reads are lightyears ahead of the other qbs and his touch is ridiculous on some throws. I also saw Hendrickson make some impressive throws. He has an absolute cannon for an arm but I don't see much touch and change of speeds in his throwing which is a problem... Speaking of linebackers, I've seen the new guy Gord make some powerful hits. Also Dom Bennet looks a good 20 pounds heavier which is great because I think he has the best physical skills and movement of any linebacker we've ever had at UND.
  15. Was able to attend todays practice. Things are looking good. The kickers were hitting bombs today in the specialist session. The one on one's (wr and db) were intense with Jameer Jackson man-handling dbs. He looks much more fluid than before, and did I mention he looks like he's pushing 240. Big runs by Jake Miller and Jer Garmin in a team session. And some huge hits in a very intense live session to end practice.
  16. Our best CB was a freshman last year, they look better in spring so far
  17. Butler's high school transcript was all messed up
  18. CBs Jr. Mackey physically gifted, quick, short (5'8"), good plays mixed in with some blown coverage, good run support Jr. Hall quick not too fast, long, good instincts and hands, smooth, not physical enough So. D Brown very tough, cat like quickness, decent hands, good hitter, smart, a little small but plays bigger, doesn't blow coverage Fr. Dwayne Brown small, great hips and quickness, consistant coverage, nearly got shirt pulled, short but plays bigger, very aggresive and tough Fr. Chris Brown smooth, quicker than fast, decent hands Fr. Rumeal Harris good coverage, needs to get bigger and faster, good hips S Sr. Mersereaux freak athlete (40.5" vert, 4.42 40, 340+ clean) strong, fast, quick, needs to learn how to hit and tackle, needs to improve ball awarness in coverage, could be great if it clicks next season So Carr hard hitter, fast, good instincts, a little short, tough, nasty, decent hips Fr Fifita explosive hitter, super physical, good coverage, great run support, good enough hands and hips, very down hill player Fr. Butler (when he clears the NCAA) huge (6'2" 220+) fast, quick, great hands, hits like Saun Taylor(RIP) huge potential, could start if he is eligible Fr Idowu big (6'2") pretty fast, heavy feet.... kind of stiff hips, very smart, good potential So William James (from Sweden) very strong, hard hitting run stopper, bad hand, decent coverage, good potential The secondary will be better than last year, how much remains to be seen. That all has to do with how good the offense is and if they can do a better job of scoring and keeping the defense off the field. Butler is the major question he could make or break the safety position for years to come.
  19. i actually really like him. He's a great guy and a good coach. I was being sacastic about how 'informed' gfhockey sounded. And the Defense is smashmouth like the good old days with Digger so he is doing something right.
  20. He must have confused his coaching at UND with his time at Red River
  21. coach Boyd was with the Steelers at one point. It's not D1 obviously but it could be sufficient.
  22. and then factor in an actual team in front of him and you have better stats than he had at that cesspool they called UAH.
  23. From the little we saw of Gramaldi I think he has the chanse to be the most elite scorer and creative offensive talent we've had since Parise. He may not be on the first line but he may lead the team in goals. Even on a bad knee you could see that 'it' to his game, I can't wait to see him play at 100%.
  24. Parise to the Blackhawks. Make it happen. Toews Kane and Parise. Boom. Maybe throw in Bochenski for good measure.
  25. The big day is here, time for the freshman to make some noise and fight for spots. I can't wait to see whats left after the dust settles on defense in the position battles.
