  1. These rankings put the Cal Poly game into perspective. We had control of the game and the lead over the #5 team in the nation. Sure we pissed it down our leg but it shows that even on an off night UND can be elite. If the team can put together 5 complete games down the stretch don't be surprised if you don't see them lose.
  2. Anytime someone mentions safeties I remember how much we could use Fifita.......... the physical run stopper that never was..... Butler needs to develop fast.
  3. Probably because he isn't that fast anymore, if he was he'd be out there other than special teams. Elite athletes don't ride the pine.
  4. So what are your feelings going into this one?
  5. I'm guessing he's not as big fast or good as people thought when he committed to UND. He has yet to see a meaningful snap in a game other than special teams. His rivals profile had him at 6'2" 195 and a 4.48. If those were true he'd be a good players for UND, unfortunately they're obviously not.
  6. And blowing the 4th quarter against cal poly
  7. Weird I thought we had more than 7 games this year. By the way we can still make the playoffs.
  8. Pressure on the qb/stuffing running gaps could save this season
  9. That would get destroyed by the spread.....
  10. I think using a 3-4 but having the capability to use 4-3 against spread teams would be a nice solution.
  11. I change my season pass to Buzz Killington
  12. Only if they don't get there in time and get the qb out of sync
  13. That really sucks. He looked really improved this year and was the go to guy on 3rd down. Hopefully a guy like Ivory can step up and fill in the void, he's shown a lot of upside.
  14. Just look at the successful bad ass defenses in the NFL, steelers ravens texans 49ers and bears. All get to the qb and love to bring pressure, especially the ones who run the 3-4 like us. Hopefully this works and brings the d a little more attitude. Maybe bringing pressure is part if the attitude.
  15. No show Joe
  16. It's because people like you are over reacting and acting like the team sucks all of a sudden. They were an exciting team going into the Poly game. Last time I checked they're the same team, they just had two bad games. Hopefully they go New York Giants on everyone to shut them up.
  17. No way in hell that happens. A result like that after what happened the last two weeks would say alot about this team. This team is better than that.
  18. They're good, we're better than we've played the last two weeks. Should be a good game. They have a great RB and a great punt return man. They held PSU to 10 points so they have a good defense. Must win game.
  19. What about what happened to UNI in Montana last year?
  20. If we win this week is it still the end of the world for this program?
  21. How much older and more experienced is Monty Kiffin than Lane?
  22. I'm not willing to hold my nose that high in the air. I'm a hockey fan too, but not one of 'those' ones. Why don't some of you get on the high expectations band wagon but also have yourself ground in reality? My expectations are through the roof with this program and as far as I'm concerned it hasn't even begun to scratch its potential. Part of that is due to investment, or lack thereof, and part of that is due to the transition. In 20 years we'll hardly be able to recognize the football program in terms of level of play and popularity. The hockey program can't get all that much bigger, football has almost unlimited growth potential. Back to my point, high expectations are necessary to success.
  23. Anyone thing UND is too caught up in hiring institutionalised coaches? I know its great to have former players on the staff and all but it seems like we go a bit overboard. Maybe we miss out on some good ones just to keep a familiar face.
  24. Jablonski is a playmaker though, no doubt about that.
  25. Something wrong with your post is Goodman plays inside LB while Jablonski plays outside LB.
