Because I dont make the decisions on who plays. If I did Mersereau would play corner Miller would return kicks and Mackey would be cut to name a few.
-
I think he'll bring some explosion to the RB position. Sutton is strong but merely runs into defenders instead of exploding into them. Miller and Garmin avoid at all costs. Sparks is built strong enough to explode into a guy and go through him but also fast/quick enough to make someone miss or get to space. Let the kid play.
-
He has also proven incapable of breaking any tackle or running between the tackles. I feel like Sparks is built to do both. Sparks has a good 20 lbs on Garmin and is just as quick/fast.

Is a 4.4 40 close enough?
-
So you want to move Jake Miller to WR?

Neither team have a good defense. There should be alot of points. They don't run the ball much and their pass defense sucks. Over/Under 800 combined passing yards?

North Dakota vs BU - Grand Forks welcomes the Terriers

There's a football game you could go to also -
His recruits are apart of the worst D in UND history. Regardless of competition it's unacceptable. If he's a good recruiter than our defensive coaches suck and can't develop the recruited talent. I'm all for giving guys time because that's what good programs do, but his D has played flat all year and is SOFT. I can't accept that.

I still have nightmares of Tyson Poots..... I'm so glad he's gone.

Good genes, his sister have any kids? I'm sure they all have offers from us already in bball and football and track

Just read my other posts about the game, the whole bye week thing is way down on the list in terms of why we got our asses kicked. It makes a big difference but not as big as things like having a soft team that can't tackle.

How old are his sons? We can wait.

Montana St Game........ Thats Montana St not NDSU

It's a similar situation to their 3-8 season but hopefully we can finish 6-5 -
I feel like Mannausau has had long enough to get his defense to be his and I don't like what I see. I don't like a lack of passion and fundamentals and I don't like that we had more talented LBs and DLs as a D2 school, which is a complete joke. Guys like Wolf and Schmidt and Schultz and Babington-Johnson and Digger and Hendrickson and ever Mannausau himself were wayyyy better and more athletic than what we have now, and they took guys heads off every game and didn't leave gaps wide open and blow coverages. Mussman is an offensive guy by trait so his mark is on the offense he has limited influence on the defense by comparison. The offense is really good for the most part and the defense sucks. If we could get Tibesar it would be a perfect fit.
-
also true.... or how bout a TE from Carrington?
-
Coming off of a bye week is a massive advantage for any team. Combine that with a better MSU team on a mission after giving a game to EWU and an inexplicably flat and pathetic performance by UND and you've got a recipe for an ass kicking. So yes, the bye week had something to do with it, if you disagree then you 1. didn't play the game at a high level and 2. are too much of a homer to realize that more goes into a game than just what your team does. And.........over-react much? ? ? ? ? ?

No but Hanson missed week 2-5 and is still not 100% with his leg which affects some throws that he has to step into. Kleason is a great Guard and hasn't played yet. Lynch missed a gave with a broken thumb and now has a club of a cast wrapped around his hand. Denui, the RT, was injured early last week which killed pass protection. Brenneman was hurt before the EWU game and injured his knee in that game and missed the next two games and is now trying to gut it out at nowhere near 100%. Benjamin has looked to be playing through something all year. Goodman, leading tackler (he's the only one with any) has been shut down after trying to gut it out the past 4 weeks with a foot injury. Andrews hasn't played in 3 weeks with an injury. Brown hurt his hammy against PSU and hasn't been himself this year. RJ McGill tore his ACL in the 4th quarter of the Poly game in which he was having a career game and putting the team on his back. Golladay hurt his ankle in that game and has been slowed down by that ever since. Jackson hurt something pretty bad against Montana and looked very slow last game. Nichols got hurt a couple weeks ago and I haven't seen him in there since. Not all are season ending injuries but many are to key guys and are more than the typical nicks that every player deals with every week. -
We need grand forks central to produce another stud. It's one every 11 years so we'll have to wait til 2015

It's gotten to be more than just injuries happen this year. Two starting lbs, two starting dls, one db, three wrs, our qb, our best olineman, two other linemen, and our te, its kind if a lot. -
That never hurts. Recognition skills don't appear to be great with any of them.
-
Big is one thing but strong and quick are another. A guy like Lynch is huge quick and powerful, he's a great lineman, same with Kleason. Gillson on the other hand is huge, slow and weak. Then a player like McGurran who is really smart but slow and average strength. Denui is tall and quick but not strong enough yet. The big LBs have played slow this year and the quick ones have played small.

Let him prove that this year before concluding it. Foresight isn't exactly 20/20. -

So the state of the program is responsible for all of the injuries to key players? Or the two really good teams that came off a buy and played us? Or having the toughest schedule in the country while having a bunch of injuries to really key players? -

He should make a change with the defensive staff, I've thinking that for a while. I'm saying I hate when people pretend to 'know' things about the inner workings of the program when they don't. Look at the Patriots and other NFL teams and how they talk to the media, then NFL Network runs a show of the inner working and the coach is berating players in meetings right after giving a non-descript press conference. -
I would love to see him as the DC next year.
