Same play. The second one got a LB exposed. I thought the first one was on Arnell. Same result though. Keep in mind, though, we went against one of the most prolific passing attacks in the nation yesterday and basically shut them down. When was the last time we held a really good passing team under 400 yards and 30 points? Yesterday has me feeling a lot better about our secondary.

I loved what Fiedler showed on that last drive. Drug a guy 5 yards to get out of bounds on one play. Then he has a huge catch to set up the TD. These plays will be open all year and I feel they are a key to our success. Defending a TE is really tough when you need to key on a RB so hard.

USDs QB is a beast. He's fast and strong. We need to contain him. Their RBs aren't game changers though they're tough but it's all about making their QB a pocket passer.

Bouma ain't getting 100 on us. That qb is a different story. He's a problem.

I like our team. I wish we had Clive available for obvious reasons but our team has grit. The OL was night and day better in the fourth quarter yesterday against a supposedly really good MAC front seven. Football is a funny game and teams can get rolling and start to stack up wins in a hurry. I think our guys kind of found out who they really are yeaterday and our defense finally seems to be predatory even against the pass. I liked what I saw for three quarters yesterday, and loved the second half. Look for that second half to carry over to the rest of the season.

Toivonen and Wanzek made some plays today. Improve their speed and they will be dangerous.

Saw Cieslak had a sling on at the end of the game. Hopefully it's not too serious... he's a monster. Anyone know of any other injuries?

I personally would've gone to OT since our defense was pretty dominant. Easy for me to say though. The d played great after the first two tds. They dominated. The OL was terrible for a lot of this game. They seemed to get better as the game wore on which is encouraging. I feel terrible that we had it go off our finger tips but our team showed guts. 0-2 but by a tiny margain. Time to pile up the wins.

The OL needs to do better than that.... They're killing us today. Absolutly killing us. I think we should keep Santiago in the backfield and pass the ball. It's wide open when he's in because they key on him so much.

We need more out the offense obviously. The d is doing one hell of a job but they need a little help.
