Tebow played on some of the most talented teams in the last 20 years. The windows he go to throw to were very very wide. He never really picked anyone apart as a passer. It was a lot of throwing to superior athletes who were wide open and running over guys. He's basically the gold standard for bad mechanics and slow releases. And for the record I want him to succeed at QB and be great. I just don't see it in his future at this point.

I wish we had a couple Samoans.....
-
Sounds about right. The left side of the line seemed to come alive last game. That's a good sign because Bell has not had a good season even though he is supremely talented.
-
Just looking at our schedule we have some really nice home games this year. Poly this next game. Going to be ranked. Pretty familiar opponent. Really good team. SUU next. Last years Big Sky champ and a playoff team. Familiar opponent from the Great West days. Weber St. Revenge game from last year. Solid team. NAU. Preseason Big Sky favorite. That's 4 very attractive games in a row. Hopefully attendance reflects that.

What if his reason to transfer was to be closer to family? I was pretty hurt when he transferred but I can't blame him. Back to back 1000 yard seasons in the MAC will get him noticed more than if he did it in the Big Sky.
-
I'm sure it's gonna suck for him to get paid to play next year on a proffesional team.
-
My expectation was that Clive wouldn't break his leg in half in our first game. Offensive expectations needed to be adjusted after that. Until our OL shows they can open holes this offense will not score a ton of points. It would also help if our kicker would make his kicks and we didn't have 100+ yards of penalties.
-
Yes those three players I named were as talented as any players we've ever had at their positions.
-
We've all noticed the struggles of our OL. It's bad. Really bad. To start last year it was also bad until Meehan slid in to guard where he became an All American and Grady started at RT. @RD17 made a great point about how Coe had a great block when he was out at RT. It's pretty clear that the OL needs to be shuffled. Coe is a beast, slide him out to RT and maybe we get set an edge for once. Is Rooney ready for center? If not throw Aplin or Cox in there since they have experience. I still don't think Taylor is getting the job done and think Aplin is an upgrade. At the very least Aplin will put his hands on somebody every single play. Taylor has been whiff city this year and the result is our backs basically have to do their best Houdini impression every play. I hope the coaches noticed that when Cox wasn't at RT the line played better.

I'm aware of that. Our defense is the reason. My point was a guy like Hendrickson would be a nightmare for opponents in this offense. Especially if he had a couple of playmakers to chuck it to.
-
Precisely, we don't exactly have Marcus Hendrickson at QB throwing to Golladay and Hardin right now.
-
I'm not sure healthy margins are a thing for us this year.
-
I look forward to winning more ugly games this year and hearing about how our opponents had an off game.
-
Poly should be ranked. We should be at least nearly ranked. Itd be nice to have a ranked conference matchup at home.
-
Poly is the best team we will play this year. Last year they were very talented but a mess. This year things seem to be clicking for them. Their QB is nowhere near the runner of last years guy but he is about 10x the passer. He looked pretty good against SDSU. This will be a dog fight. Just like last year we need to limit them on first down and force them to pass the ball in obvious situations. Jawon and Cole will have huge numbers. Poly is one of my favorite opponents and I am very pumped for this game. This would be a nice resume builder.

I've never seen this before but it's like a clip from SNL. Was he always drunk?
-
Not sure. He was a very good WR coach though.
-
So let's say Hot Rod gets !@#$ canned at NIU. Bring him back as OC and OL coach here? We would then have to find a qb coach, or slide Freund over to that spot and find a WR coach. Bring back Bellmore? Something for the Rudolph haters to think about.
-
Interesting. If he has the frame to get up around 300 he could be a menace. Kinda like that guy in the NFL who used to be a 260 lb RB at Texas and is now a stud DT, can't remember his name.

After watching that film I'm licking my chops for him to take FB dives. Big athletes with good feet good hands and heavy hands. Love it.

Statistical Comparison UND MSU First Downs 17 17 Total Offensive Yards 348 375 Rushing Attempts-Yards 46-227 31-116 Passing 12-22-0 15-37-3 Passing Yards 121 259 Penalties-Yards 11-102 9-56 Turnovers 1 5 Punts-Avg. 7-44.9 4-45.5 Punt Returns-Avg. 0-0.0 2-2.0 Kick Returns-Avg. 3-17.0 2-16.5 3rd-Down Conversions 4-16 6-14 4th-Down Conversions 1-1 0-0 Time of Possession 33:50 26:10 11 penalties for 102 yards...... and we still win. Other way to look at it is 5 forced TOs and we still barely win.... we must improve.
-
There was another one late that was pretty clear. MSU gave us the half Nelson and the refs tried to give us the Father Nelson....
-
Seriously though, the one thing we can all agree on is that the penalties need to stop. False starts? That's like missing free throws. Personal fouls? Keep your dick in your pants. On the other side of the coin we need to keep in mind that we are in the Big Sky and the refs are awful every week for both teams. Those PI calls that were missed that cost us multiple first downs when the DB gave our WRs a half nelson? Yea, that is terrible. But in the end we won a sloppy ass game where both teams contributed to the slop. On to Poly who will kick our ass if we play like that again.

I agree 10000000000% with you on recruiting. We've been stacking the defense every year since Bubba got here and it has worked. He also tried stacking the OL but some unexpected circumstances have taken away from that. This staff can recruit. We need speed on o right now and a hand full of big fat and nasty SOBs to open holes for skill guys. Santiago is all world if you give him anything. He's been given next to nothing this year so far. Speed speed speed for this class.
