Are you really going to lecture a bison fan about the difference between a playoff game and regular season game?

I was just about to post this same thing. Did we make the playoffs this year then? Our 3-8 record doesn’t mean !@#$ after all.

Playoff weather in SD would favor NDSUs style big time.

NDSU has been better on the road the last 6 years than at home.

Maybe they’re just much better at home and bad on the road. The team i saw yesterday didn’t have the same mojo as the one I’ve seen previously. Same as their game against ISU when Streveler got pummeled. I think their best wr was hobbled as well.

The team you played was nowhere near the team we played. That’s a fact.

No. They were actually really good to start the year. They were smoking teams. Once Streveler started getting banged up and those guys got in trouble the wheels fell off. The ISU game where they beat him up was the tipping point.

Obviously it was unsustainable from the beginning. That’s literally what it means. It’s fine to start but it can’t be maintained long term.

I keep hearing people describe him as “pretty quick”. He’s blazing fast. Just say it. He made DeLuca look like he was wearing cement shoes.

I’m curious to see Kruse. He’s a big thick dude. No issue getting him up to size.

Their style of play wasn’t sustainable for a run. Early season greatness and then then lose steam and Streveler can’t continue to get beat up each game and maintain his level of play.

Mussman had some really good hogs. Just not enough depth. That’s basically the story of his teams. DL and CB were bad but other than that he had nice recruits all over the team, just not enough of them. Barton, Anderson, and Meehan were all very solid players. Not sure what happened with Stockwell, Bell, and Miller as they were pretty good recruiting gets. The bigger issue has been player development. I haven’t seen senior OL go through and get better each year. To me that’s on coaching. Which is why I’d like to see Knauf hit the road.

He doesn’t exactly look filled out to me. Skinny arms and legs still. I see plenty of room.

This joke of a season could turn out to be a huge positive for this program if used right. This off season is a tipping point.

A few assistants should be gone. Things should change. Belts tightened. Complacency eliminated. He has next year to convince me the last three were a trend and this one was an anomaly and not the other way around. The problem is this season should have never gotten out of hand the way it did. That starts with Bubba. He needs to set the tone day one this off season.

Rooney to gain. Rastas can put that much on if he eats enough. Everyone has the ability to overcome their metabolism, it's just not very fun.
