I will next year for sure, but I'm already in two this year. Thanks for setting this up though!

The only reasoning I can come up with is that they want someone who can create space for Rocco to play on his line - a grinder-type player. I agree that the line of St. Clair, Rocco, and Caggiula would be a fun one...very quick.

St. Cloud will be riding high after sweeping Denver. I'm interested in seeing if they're really that good or if DU is sliding.
-
I'm more partial to the greens...none in the F4. I like the black magic jerseys, but not a big fan of the 02-09 black...at least not as much as some others.

A separate camera person shoots the game and the highlights come from that footage. The highlights don't come from the broadcast.

US played a pretty solid game in this one. That miss by Geaudreau early in the first proved very large.

I think there's been a major improvement in offensive play from the Defense. How often have we seen this much blue line scoring and getting pucks on net? They're not trying to shoot it through the net every time...just getting any shot on net. But in their number one responsibility zone, they have been pretty weak. Defensive zone coverage is weak across the board, though, forwards included. The team was standing around in the d-zone right from the puck drop tonight. The dogs looked like a team that really wants to win their first league game.

There was a large chunk of the 3rd period when UND was controlling the puck deep in BU's zone and generating some scoring chances. This includes shortly before the tying goal. The fact that they couldn't bury them is a bigger reason they lost. When the puck was in the Sioux D zone, they were trying to get it out quickly. Gleason made a bad mistake not clearing when he could've, and it snowballed from there.

Thought the Sioux owned the third and got better as the game went on. That was a really fun game to watch. How about UND being the more disciplined team in most games so far?

Buddy is on the road right now and wondering if there's a bar/restaurant in Rapid City where Sioux fans gather to watch hockey games. Would like to join the atmosphere if so. Anyone know about Rapid City?
Thanks!
I'd you figure this out, let me know...just moved there.

This will be an excellent learning tool. A team that plays a very aggressive game on the big ice, and isn't afraid to throw the body. It's the way UND can and should play, once they have all of their players in the lineup and on the same page. Fairbanks played a pretty good game, limited mistakes, and deserved to win that one.

Alaska really pushed the pace that period. Pushed UND around a bit too. I think the Sioux got stronger in the last 5 mins. They were getting some good chances when St. Clair scored. Rocco fished the puck out for him too.

Yeah, Tech was outrageously opportunistic in that game I think all but one of their goals was off the rush, and most on odd-man attempts. Some very nice goals.
Good to see UND get out to the early lead. Defense and speed are the difference so far. UND getting to the loose pucks and keeping the pressure away from Saunders.

Underway and still no video...that's no fun

I'll be watching via the web as well. Mostly because I want to see what this team will look like without the offensive anchors.

I just moved to Rapid City and switched from DTV to Midco. I thought the picture quality for both games was worse than I saw on FCS via DTV. It wasn't terrible, just soft when viewed from the center ice cam. When zoomed in or from other cams it looks ok. I guess I'm disappointed as I was hoping for an improvement after the move.

Looked like Rocco may have come up hurting late in the period. Hopefully he's fine, because he looked really sharp.

Funny. Visors have been the norm for junior and MJ, and Euro teams for years. Parise went from cage to a visor in the pros, and the Olympics, and his biggest injury, so far has been a torn mensicus. Wonder why the NHL doesn't mandate shields/cages for its prized assets? Probably because everybody knows if their sticks or elbows go up, they can get the same medicine. Then again, you think the players should be bubble wrapped and they use a foam puck.
"Get a clue". Pretty funny shiat from a spectator.
Interesting you bring up Parise... http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/32453828/ns/sports-nhl/
Considering the teeth he lost were fake, I'd wager that he's been hit in the face more than once.

Great pace to this one so far. Defenses not giving much...SCs goal was a throw away. Hate those.
