Least biased and most fact-based (with support video linked throughout) thing I've seen from a national publication in a while. They omitted some details (the fact the shooter was being assaulted before and after he tripped) in the tweets of course, but the video is all there.

Did the police know he'd just shot 3 people? I'd say no, judging by how they told him to get the F out of the road as they were approaching the scene. Should the police have listened to him as he was trying to confess and turn himself in? Yes. They let their emotions and the stress of the situation cloud their vision and hearing.

I can see both sides here, both the kid defending himself and the people trying to take him down. If you were at a party, you saw someone running with a gun, and you heard a bunch of your friends yelling that the guy with the gun just killed another one of your friends at the party, wouldn't you want to take him down?

There is however one party that tends to place the standing of the nation and promotion of certain races/creeds above the rights of the individual. That party also believes in a strong central government, tends to govern with a heavy hand, particularly as it relates to the operation of private business, and has been known to encourage its followers to resort to violence to suppress opposing views. That party has also been very supportive of severe economic and social regimentation under the guise of public safety.

The top income tax proposal identified in the graphic applies to the top income bracket (income over $518k). Right now, the tax rate for that income level is 37%. Someone making $78k/year, as in the example used, wouldn't be affected by the top income tax. Middle income earners will be far more affected by the $100k household tax and the financial transaction taxes.
