  1. Just checked:

Miami, North Dakota, Western Michigan, Nebraska-Omaha, and Denver are all Neulion so any subscribers to their schools all-access Neulion package will get free reciprocate webcast from the other schools? Last year in CCHA play Miami subscribers got to see Miami at Western Michigan for free.

UNO, UM-D, and CC need to get with it.

I think you mean St Cloud needs to get with it, not UNO (yes/no?)

  2. Don't know where you live but if you can get locals with your antenna I can say it's an amazing deal:)

I live in Vermillion, SD (and no I am not a Coyotes fan). Can get the Sioux City stations pretty clearly in the winter when all the leaves on my backyard maple are down.

  3. FWIW I have a five year old laptop with an intel 1.87 ghz cpu, 2gb RAM, 32 bit. I use midco's xstream 1, so from what I ather I should have sufficient download capacity. Last Friday I tried the hockey webcast and it was a bit jittery, although I did not try multiple resolution options. From what it sounds like getting a newer computer would not help much, nor would going to a google tv device. I've looked at the vizio costar and netgear prime. Ive also looked at chromecast which by necessity uses an existing device to interface with your tv unlike the netgear or vizio. While chromecast requires a minimum 2 ghz cpu on your computer, the Vizio costar has only 1.2 ghz, which suprises me. I am by coincidence also looking into "cutting the chord" on cable and just going to web tv and whatever I can get out of my roof antenna.

  4. I think it would be very helpful and informative if people would elaborate on what equipment they are using at home to see who is having trouble and who isn't. Computer processor speed ? Download speed from server? running cable from computer to tv? Google tv device such as vizio costar? Chromecast? If there really are problems on the users ends we should start to see a pattern.

So with the UND subscription, do I log into the UND site or the Miami site to watch UND at MIami?

  6. Yeah, a 21 pt loss is nothing to celebrate...but...at least I saw enough from the team to think that the rest of the season is worth following which is more than I thought after the MSU game.

  7. I guess I don't consider Illinois a regional state. Most of the recruits out of the Chicago area had never heard of UND before they were recruited. Plus, I can guarantee none of their personal top 25 schools included UND. Kids from the Dakotas, Minnesota, and Wisconsin do however value UND to at least some degree. It's that familiarity that breeds passion for playing UND football.

Chicago seems like a great place to recruit to me with its obviously large recruiting base. It is much more of a geograhical fit for us than our Big Sky competition and unlike the MVFC schools we can offer regular trips to exotic destinations like California and the Montana Rockies.

  8. So we can expect the team to go "toe to toe" with MSU next week?

We might go "toe to toe" with them. They don't call it "foot" ball for nothin'. I doubt it will be a "nail biter" though.

  9. Sioux will not be able to run a power game off the I formation, but may be able to utilize play action and delayed handoffs to good effect. Miller needs to break off just two or three long runs and many of you will see why Mussman maintains a prominent role for him.

  10. Why? They are a legitimate state flagship institution along with the other aforementioned schools and would add regional appeal. Idaho would also be another addition that would fit nicely.

USD went 1-10 last year. Even when they had respectable seasons under Meierkort they did poorly on the road. Their W-L record in their last ten matchups against UND, NDSU, an SDSU is something like 4-26. Vermillion is a nice town (I live there) but it is never going to be a draw to talent needed to succeed consistently in FCS, let alone FBS.

  11. If K-State has a bad year their demoralizing defeat in game one could be a factor. Great win for the Bison regardless of what KSU does the next couple months. Can only help recruiting for not only NDSU but for other FCS teams in the region.

Oh, one other thing...I spewed coffee at the suggestion that USD go FBS along with the other Dakotas and Montanas.

  12. I think that in looking ahead to SDSU we would want to fine tune the passing game moreso than the running game. We will need to put up alot of points early on SDSU to take their run game away.
