This is Monday.....game is Friday.......won't the storm blow past the east coast by then?
The teams don't fly in on Friday, they come earlier for practice.....

i dont think the gophers should be ranked 2nd... but minnesota won their only game they had over the weekend. why would they not stay put??
No, they tied the first game against u18 and beat an unranked Canisius team by 1-0, tell me what is different than what the Sioux did?

I know you guys tell me not to think much of the rankings this time of year, BUT how does minny stay put with what they did, and the Sioux drop with what they did?

The Canisius goalie is one of the best in the nation but even so the Gophers kinda sleepwalked through the whole weekend(including U-18 team Fri). Next week I expect them to ramp it up.

Two of the four? So you're saying that Gothberg is more seasoned and has proven himself more than Wilcox even though both are freshman with exactly no NCAA experience coming into the season? Ok, got it.
You can only make that argument for one of the four and that's Saunders. Bottom line is we really dont know yet which team will have the better goaltending.Gothberg was with the Fargo force just south of us and he holds records there and received awards while there, but ok, your goalies are just as good..............

It never fails when we go to the games theres always those few in every section.... the team goes down a few and here comes some loudmouth yelling just loud enough so that others in the surrounding ten seat radius hears them "way to start choking Hakstol...Blais wouldnt be losing to this team.." crap like that.. and i illistrate the upper deckers as these seem to be special breeds of moron as they quasi yell at hakstol from row K of the second deck,
NO there is not specific knowledge difference between where people sit, I was not insuniuating any one person as being a moron just based on where they sit. Ive heard these idiots in every section ive sat in. which is damn near all of'em,
I dont get the special allure of going to the game and chirping your own team when god forbid they go down a goal or two at some point.
The point is : ALL IS WELL

THE SUN WILL RISE
THERE WILL BE HOCKEY GAMES NEXT WEEKEND

Just imagine the morons in the upper levels of the ralph next weekend if the sioux get behind by a goal early....the hak haters will be hockeynostradomuses to those poor souls around them.
One loss...it sucks....it will hurt a bit in PWR at the end but.

This sky is falling stuff is funny.... How can you be a Sioux fan and not be used to a loss that shouldn't happen at the start of the year? If they split on the road to a not so strong team, I'm ok with it. As long as its a sweep at home!

This is where the rule should be changed. No winner than this game has "no winner". Game 2 should start. It is still very fun to play and your hard work is appreciated...........Go Sioux!

That's why they play the games. It's one loss, keep it in perspective. I don't think anybody expected them to go undefeated all year long. Even the 1986-87 Sioux team lost 8 games. The Gophers are still the best team in college hockey in spite of what happened last night.
I guess we will find out Monday on the rankings...

If you watched the game last night the goaltending was not the problem....it was their defensive meltdowns.
I did watch the game! But where did I say they lost because of goaltending? I said the diff between Sioux and goofs was goaltending! You should re- read before you comment........

Both the goofs and Sioux are high caliber teams. But there is one difference, and the UMTC faithful keep acting like it isn't an issue! Goaltending!!!
Sioux will out do them with that one key position!

I thought the MidcoSN broadcast was a little better in quality than in years past. The picture wasn't as dark as it use to be. For all the complaining, people could help themselves out by tweaking the brightness/contrast settings on their TV. Hell, I'd recommend people getting their HDTV's calibrated if they want to get the best picture possible.
For those with ole' CRT TV's...not much can be done on your end.
