Just for the record, UofMN except for UND has played some weak opponents. Lets face it Niagra and Union suck and UMass-Lowell isn't very good either. I wouldn't look to hard into the wins of the past few weekends. On the other end Woog basically said that UofMN should enjoy playing this weekend because it is going to be tough the next three weekend for the Goofers. I agree. UND, Wisconsin and C.C. I am glad UND hasn't had a schedule like that.

UND would make the tourney if the selection was today.

I am not so sure this is a route we want to go down. I am not ready to call for Hak's head after 1 1/2 seasons based on his performance last season. This is a young team and I don't think we can lay all of the blame at the feet of the coach. The players have to take ownership for this play this past weekend as well as this weekend. I not quite ready to push the panic button, but if we get swept by the Goofers next weekend, I will be in the Panic mode.

I think it is evident that the Hak is getting frustrated with the effort out on the ice. Last night he basically said the the goalies have to play better. Last week he publically showed some displeasure with some of his players last weekend. Its probably not going to be fun to be in practice this week, rightfully so, some of our players need to step it up or take a seat in the stands. I just don't have any confidence with the team/players doing what they did last season, I think they are a year away. They just suck and our defense is too young and it making too many mistakes, glaring mistakes. Its going to be a lot fun watching a regional in our home town with out our home team there, because if they play with a lack luster performance game after game they aren't even going to play at home in the playoffs. I am sure I will be cheering against whoever plays Wisconsin, Minnesota, C.C.

I have a theory but I will probably get laughed out of the building. You might want to include the word conspiracy in it. Also Hak said it wasn't a penalty and I am going to believe him on this because I have seen the S#!ty call these officials have made this season, I saw the call on Drew Stafford and I see no reason to over react to these calls.

My thought is that Radke was benched because of play on the ice, and Marvin looked good last weekend so he got to play as a reward.

If listened to the broadcast, the WJC players were the ones making the plays and causing things to happen. I am not so sure why you are so set on resting kids from playing. The NHL plays every other night in a lot of occassions due to the olympics and them having almost 2 weeks off. On another note; the players from Minnesota called Coach Lucia and basically said we want to play. Can you put us in coach? From the sounds of the UND players they were happy to be back and at the games.

I don't agree, both TH and Hak said it wasn't penalty, so I am willing to bet that Hak sends a tape to the league office and will definately be giving the league office a earful. If its not a penalty and the ref makes a mistake why should the player suffer? Beside we all saw the penalty Drew got for checking from behind in the duluth game and it was very obvious that it wasn't even a penalty. If we go by this mentality, we should give Drew the night off the next night because of a horribly blown call. I would hope not. Oshie, Stafford, Watkins have all suffered game misconducts. Hak sounded very upset with the call, apparently TJ Oshie got creamed from behind during the game and the checking from behind penalty wasn't called.

I think our goalies have set a record of being run over in games by the opposition.

Hey does anyone know if he is hurt, the USA hockey site said he went to the hospital but his test came back negative. Was that just a precaution? The article didn't say much past that.

Thats ok, I feel nothing but confidence. I think we might be selling the team short, they have done about what I thought they could do this season so far. I think we are going to do well this weekend and in the second half of the season. I actually think we are sitting better than last season. Besides we don't have to play the dirty Badgers again this season, we are due against C.C. and DU is over rated in my opinion, I know we will give them a better fight than Princeton and Ferris State.

Actually it could be more, apparently Eric Johnson has committed to play for the Dirty Goofers next year, but the TSN guys said they wouldn't be surprise to see Johnson in the NHL, I am hopoing. Also, could you imagine how good the Goofers might have been if Mueller had not gone to MJs and gone the college route (sp)? Scarey.

I am not saying that they don't get tired, but they won't have played a game in a day in a half and they had a day off in between, I am saying that they can talk about how tired they are next week and I am sure they will be give time off in practice to get back to life. They need to play this weekned. Toews is going to be less tired than the other three. I am predicting that they will probably make a decent contribution this weekend towards the win. If Oshie is hurt I doubt he will play, nor should he.

7-1 on the road is really good. I don't care one what anyone says.

I think your right how many times did kessel go up the ice shoot and then the puck is coming back down the ice to the defensive zone. It happened a lot against Russia. USA didn't cycle the puck and having Bourque and Kessel on the same line didn't help.

According to the Grand Forks Fish Wrapper this morning UND is 8-1 against unranked opponents. I like our odds and most of the games against unranked opponents are on the road where UND is 7-1-1.

The good part about this is Minnesota has 3 or 4 key players that were in the JR's too and I think it will even things out. I hope Kessel is really tired after all of the first line play that he got.

That was the point I think a few of us have been trying to make. Anyone suggesting these kids sit out a game or both because them might be a little tired is assanine. Their first loyalty is playing for their UND Fighting Sioux hockey team. I also doubt the players would want to sit out. Their kids that are in awesome condition if anything playing this weekend makes them better.

Are you kidding me, there is no way I wear one of them offensive red uniforms.
