Actually this is the first ref that I have seen this year that I like. Once the fight transpired it actually settled the game down and the boys played hockey. I think the NCAA rule of no fighting actually makes the games more dangerous for the players. I saw two UAA players this weekend swing their sticks at a Sioux player. If these two morons had actually connected God knows what kind of injury would have transpired. If that kids knows he had to fight he wouldn't be swinging that stick, or not for long. I think UAA is one of the cheaper teams in this league and there is a reason these guys had a bench clearing brawl with C.C. I like what I say this weekend. The Sioux players picked the right time and pretty much owned the Sea Wolves all weekend. We were one stupid pass away from a sweep this weekend. I think we finally wiped that stupid grin off of Lawson's face this weekend too. The boys lit him up. A STAT of Note I watched the FSN broadcast of Wisconsin and Minnesota this morning at work and They put up a stat that I wasn't aware of. We have the same number of points in the WCHA that we had last season. Actually I believe we are two points ahead of last years pace with the win. We will see I guess.

I say now is the time to open it up a bit and take the foot off the brake.

I stayed there back in 1997 in march. They have a pretty cool sports book up out of the way from the rest of the casino. I am going to be there for the weekend of the WCHA home series starting Saturday, I am hoping that by the time I get to Vegas the Sioux will have dispatched who ever they are playing by the time the planes wheels hit the ground.

Hakstol is going to have a lot of questions to answer in the off season. I not ready to say fire his ass yet but one more like this and he should be gone. End of discussion. The coach needs to take the blame in this too.

Your right the atmosphere does suck. Also, if I was lacing them up and an opposing player was hacking away at our goalie like the UAA players were a few time. Some bodies would be flying, I would like to see our defensemen pound the forwards that are hacking away at our goalies. Phil should have not been hit that many times on that shot. If you watch the play I think you will see defensemen standing around watching not good.

I am already counting on the Sioux not being in the final five or the NCAA tourney. They have to basically win 9 or 10 games and only lose maybe a few more games and still have games with SCSU, Denver and Minnesota (thats potentially 6 losses right there if they keep playing like this) Not good prospects if they can't even beat a middle of the road team in UAA. The Beavers are going to run them out of the building if they don't get their act together.

If you look at the list of ex-Sioux players you just listed, I don't think any of our current crop Freshmen are anywhere close to the list of players except for maybe Chay Genoway. But we will see.

Lets also not forget Colbey only got three years because he lost a year of elgibility for playing MJ.

Laughing out loud, although pointed a pointed question I think Dubay is right, the effort of the Sioux sucked in the first half. Goaltending D- Defense D Forwards C- PK D PP B Coaching D Intangables F The team hovered around 50+ on the PK nationally Not good, the Power Play was as high as 7th nationally but has sunk to about 17th nationally. That D is pretty accurate.

Anyway to translate what you must said into layman's english. I always have the same problem at the com center when something goes down and I have to explain what is happening and you guys speak a different language.

There was an article in the paper this week where Hakstol basically told his team its time to take your rink back. That has to be one of the best things Hak has said all year. I want to see people get hit, I want people to be afraid to come in the Kitchen (in front of the net). When I used to work out at the airport it wasn't uncommon for opposing players to leave after a weekend of playing UND beat up and wearing cast and walking on crtuches. This year's addition of UND isn't very intimidating nor are they very scarey. The less than intimidating Sioux need to start hitting and hitting hard.

I am pretty sure that you won't get any argument from me, because I think all the refs in the WCHA suck. I don't think Champion is much better than Adam, personally, the NHL refs are much better than the college hockey refs I remember when Herb Brooks was alive I remember him saying that College hockey should use NHL officials. Don Adam and Derrek Sheppard are the worst. There is no excuse for their crap.

From What I read Johnson likes it at Michigan, it wouldn't surprise me if he stays.

Kessel looked a step off (kind of like the rest of his team mates) last night and got lit up twice by Sens players. One time he got pasted hard by Corvo and I can't remember the other player that rocked him. But he is back and will be a factor once he get his legs back.

From what I hear, the Mavs fans are starting to become anzious about Jutting, I don't think he that bad of a coach, his team play with heart but they are not very talented. Seriously, they are in a tough situation. It has to be tough to compete against the likes of UND, UMN, Wisconsin, they are going to get the kids the big schools don't want.

Didn't Millard like run over a sign at a Hardees or something like that down in Mankato? Big scene back in the 1990's.
