I think it would be safe to say that there is probably one Sioux fan that will be cheering for the Goofs.

Based on the way your team has played this season that is a pretty silly statement. Stalock is a much better goalie than Kangas now that the Gophers are in the Final Five tourney don't expect the Refs to let you clutch and grab UMD up and down the ice and the Dogs have some pretty good players as well. The Dogs also did something your team couldn't do beat the Tigers in Colorado springs. Lastly, You forget a lot of fans will be cheering against your team.

It is not a very big bar and you will need to get there hours in advance to get a seat.

They have two of their better players injuried. I don't care who the Sioux play.

That would be hard to quantify. Each is probably special in their own way.

And not to rain on the goofs parade but they were swept by the Sioux, Tigers, Badgers, Mavericks...

MeanEGirl you're team will be back and I hope the administration at MTU sticks with Russell I think he is good coach that got dealt a bad hand this season, everything that could go wrong did.

It's not about a blood feud I just can't stand your college and hope your team loses in the playoffs. You're missing the big point here. Your college making the playoff reflects on your school and dont expect the Sioux fans to relish in the moment. You can't make blanket statements that it is a thing of pride for the whole state when it is not. Your using child like logic that A + B = C

I would question how hold MPLSBison is? Some of the comments he has made are definately silly. It's like asking a packer fan to cheer for the Vikes if they ever made the superbowl or Rangers fans to cheer for the Devils in hockey or Wake Forest fans to cheer for UNC or fans of Florida to cheer for Florida State.

MPLSBison fans said this in response to post above. I want to know why you think it is important for UND fans to cheer for your university. It don't matter if we are old fans or new fans your school is a rival, we hate your team it is part of the rivalry also last time I looked this is a UND message boards. I definately could see that happening. UMD is pretty good and they won't be playing you at the John either. Plus they will have 3000-4000 sioux fans cheering them on.

Your missing the point and not all of us care or are going to support them. We might even smile if they lose their opening game in the ncaa tourney. I also love how some some Bison fans are trying to say that their mid major basketball team making the tourney on an auto bid is really a bigger deal, all time greatest story some how all of a suden more important or significant than the Sioux winning a bunch of titles and another MacNaughten cup. The Bison making the NCAA tourney is about as significant as Holy Cross making the Tourney in College Hockey. IF they actually beat a few teams and make a run ala UNI then it will be more than a front page story in the Fargo Forum.

MTU is an kick ass engineering school and it is hard to get into from what I have been told. They do have a business degree.
