Nice weekend of hockey I was able to watch both games tonight. Saw Dirty entering the UPC. I thought there was was some awesome hockey. Dylan Olson is going to be good. Nice size skates pretty well. UMD is fortunate to have him. The Fins were small and fast. Team USA was pretty good I can't believe there was only one Minnesota player on the team. I predict Mattson will be at UND for a 3 - 4 years but I like the way he played, he will be a good addition to the Fighting Sioux blue line when he comes to UND. Cam Fowler won't be at DU long. Ulfie's son is a pretty good player and didn't Knee anyone. I have to admit I got choked up when they played the national anthem after USA won the game.

Speaking of Don Cherry he gave Ryan Johnson plugs on the coaches corner tonight.

I have HD from MIDCO and I watch the NHL on Versus and I can't see much of a differene.

To be a defenseman in the WCHA it takes a lot to used to the league, I can't imagine the jump. I have been impressed with both players this season after they got past their rough patch. I would imagine if Pointer can recover quickly to get ready for the season he and Marto could be all conference type players. As far as development goes Look as some of our killer defenseman we have had. I remember Commi's first year here and UND and I would have never guessed he would go on to make 4+ million a years in the NHL. Development takes time, look at Smaby with TB.

I haven't heard a lot of complaints about Pointer, Finley seemed to have the ire of a lot of Sioux fans around us at the REA. I think we have become spoiled up here, I look around at other teams in hockey and I think we are lucky that our team isn't yearly door mat.

This could be a nasty fight. The anti-logo people do not want a recorded vote on the issue. That is why RHT is against it as well. If they lose a vote they have no leg to stand on. I have always said how do you quantify who gets to vote there are a lof people that are Sioux that do not live on reservation but are connected to both tribes/reservations.
