Shawn-O has a pretty good point - Lubbers is a tough place to play but there's something about this matchup that's intriguing...if USD gets off to a fast start - who knows? I'd rather play USD again in the AL than have to travel to Allendale again...

beating ndsu wouldn't seem like a real HIGH hurdle this year! (See McFeely's articles calling for Amy's firing) I agree Moorhead will be a challenge but when was the last time WBB in Fargo centered on Moorhead?? Roebuck called them out last year and in retrospect...it was probably a good idea for Amy to diss it!

USD is dangerous and the Lakers haven't exactly (cough, cough!) played the toughest competition this season so yeah...the 'Yotes will give them a run! I heard a couple of their receivers got banged up at Northwood and they do need both the run and pass option but I think they'll be suprised by Stefan Logan - even if they stack their cards JUST to bottle him up*....(*Calling Noah "CHUCK IT" Shepard!! )

plus the 5 games to open the season were among the toughest they'll play in the non-con and they came through undefeated! They play a big stretch at home now that should be easy wins - hopefully they can get healthy and be on a major roll when the conference season rolls around...

how's this for a theory...Phil COULD have made the UAA trip but the coaches decided to leave him behind and bank on Greico being able to win at least 1 and probably 2 against an average Anchorage team. The thinking being Phil would be well rested, totally rehabbed, and ready to go against CC with no aftereffects of a long road trip and holiday week? I saw Phil in practice last week and he was bouncing up and down pretty good...not sure what else could be holding him back.

bottom line is you can't give up at least 2 points to a team that will finish 7th or 8th in the league...it costs us seeding in the final 5 but we did, so, we move on...it hasn't cost us THAT MUCH in the past and hopefully won't in the future but MAN, it is frustrating!!
