Right call, didn’t execute. Different than missing the call completely.
-
Well there goes that field position after just 2 plays. Good job Bubba .... Jeez
-
Bubba “no balls” Schweigert makes another appearance. GOD this offense is continually set up for failure. Anti-momentum strategy all the time
-
I don’t even think this is a top 3 reason. Offense was poor even with Santiago. Reasons are combination of coaching and players.
-
Offense has lost confidence and momentum. C’mon coaching staff, get these guys fired up and going. I expect a player on offense to step up and get it going also. Man, this offense is pathetic at the worst times.
-
I’ll get blasted if I give my opinion of Stanley. Good he’s back from injury, but, well, yeah ...
-
Damn kicking game is horrible. Has to be emphasis in recruiting for sure.
-
Go Hawks! Go get it. UND wins if they do the obvious: 1) run the ball well (over 4 yds/carry average) and 2) win the turnover battle. Let’s see if it happens or not.

So you’re suggesting you know better than the coaching staff? That’s a bold move, especially on this website. If you think Ketteringham is the reason UND lost to Washington, Idaho State, and/or Weber State, AND it’s not the defense, special teams, offensive linemen, or skill position players making mistakes also, AND the schemes and play-calling is already at a winning level, then sure, I guess go with Zimmerman. The thing is, UND did not lose 3 games because of solely Ketteringham. UND did lose 3 games because multiple players and coaches did not execute their job to the level needed. UND does not currently have the offensive coaching, schemes, and play-calling for quarterbacks to put up big numbers and play mistake free football. So, all things considered, Zimmerman going in wouldn’t change anything major. Don’t play musical chairs with quarterbacks - that NEVER works and I’m steadfast on that. Allow Ketteringham to grow in the Rudolph offense (if that’s possible) and continue to gain valuable experience.
-
UND needs to win the next three to keep the future of UND football hopeful. Starts with Idaho. 28-21 UND
-
Because it’s built into their offense. Rudolph just has blatant gaps within his offense, noticeably his screen game and TE play-action game. Let’s take this time to remember what Rudolph was prior to coming to UND; certainly nothing impressive or anything that screams championships.

Uff da

Keaton’s passing game was way below average. Many under-throws and skips. Tough kid, great leader, and could run the ball, though. Big picture - I’m afraid it’s not good to have a quarterback who can’t really throw with the best of ‘em. I’m glad we have true arm talent under center now.
-
Good player. Staff loved what they saw in person last summer. Crossing my fingers until December.
-
Not sure who you spoke to, but what I’ve heard and have seen says differently. Ketteringham is a very good QB for UND who will only get better with more experience.
-
Ketteringham is one of the best quarterbacks UND has had in a while. He needs more experience, weapons, and better play-calling, which he will hopefully get as time goes on. Get off the damn Zimmerman bandwagon All this conjecture doesn’t surprise me, though. You know what they say about who everyone’s favorite player is? (Hint: it’s not the starter).

This sums up the scenario for UND, absolutely. One game at a time just like the ol’ playoffs starting @ Idaho.

Man, be careful. I disagree. Both sides of the ball have been at least equally at fault. The offensive output in the second half this season has been atrocious. I don’t see how anyone with a football mind can overlook that. Also, the untimely turnovers by the offense have been huge momentum killers. Goal line fumble against Idaho State? Interception while tied against Weber State? At least 7 of the 35 points UND allowed against Weber were off a turnover - partial blame to offense. Remember how the UND offense looked against Washington? Defense kept UND in the game for 3 quarters! I just don’t agree with this newfound bashing of the defense and ignorance of the offensive mistakes. Both sides of the ball (and of course special teams!) need to improve in order for UND to be a competent playoff team.
-
Under Mussman, UND played at Idaho in both 2010 and 2011. Both were blowout losses for UND.
-
0 sacks tells the story there. Defense didn't get enough pressure on third down.

When it comes to the crowd, the students will come only with consistent winning, but, even with that, it is not guarenteed as evidenced around the country. One major action that can be done with this situation immediately is moving the student section. The size/amount of seats can stay the same, just allow the paying season ticket holders to sit from the 30 to the 30. It would be more practical (has to be moved in postseason anyways) and aesthetically appealing (tv broadcast faces that direction).

I'm afraid a simple defensive front switch wouldn't fix the defense's ability. Nice easy way of thinking of things, though. Whether you have 3 down linemen or 4, it still comes down to leverage and winning against the guy in front of you. Don't get caught up in the details before the fundamentals.
-
Spot on!! UND consistently wins only when they win in the trenches. Against Weber State, UND couldn't consistently run the ball nor stop the run. As a result, Weber scored 35 points and UND's offense only scored 13. Quite fortunate the game was as close as it was, really.

Lose the gray period. I hate that look. Green jerseys with white pants need to be worn far more often ... But yes, green jersey and green pants is a fine true alternate look. The gray is just ... meh!
