  1. QB play needs to be improved or 2022 will be another "meh" season. Unsure if Schuster can improve or if just need another player to step up and surpass him. My guess, the coaches don't even know that; waiting until Fall Camp.
  2. Need at least 1 - 2 QBs per class, so this is definitely a good thing. Hope he turns out to be a good college football player
  3. High school 6’2”? Jesus Christ, people need to just use a f*ckin’ tape measure and call it good… but, I agree, he’ll probably end up being 6” or 6’1” at best still better than current height UND has at QB …
  4. Big get. Nice recruiting win vs UNI. Waletzko endorses this one for sure.
  5. Not too convinced these changes will do much, but we will certainly see.
  6. Honestly, you better hope for that, because if he isn’t considering transferring after a year or two that only means he didn’t do well for UND. I don’t like it, but it’s the reality of collegiate athletics nowadays.
  7. FBS schools definitely get first pick, but lot of intangibles associated with place kicking, so oftentimes the guy that can kick it the furthest isn’t necessarily the best kicker on game days. For that reason, just like the QB position, I’ve always been a fan of recruiting and signing multiple kickers if you don’t have a proven one on roster - measurables only go so far. You never truly know how they will do mentally on game day until you get to see it.
  8. Need these changes to assist in getting the Alerus full. Product on the field is only part of the equation, despite what some think. You have to put effort into developing the production and venue, also.
  9. Adding natural light is feasible. There are daytime events beyond just football that natural light would benefit. When it comes down to it, requires vision and $$$
  10. Chaves has a hockey stick so far up his a$$ not sure simply contacting him will get much done …
  11. Agree - would be costly considering construction costs in current market, but would absolutely sky rocket enjoyment/satisfaction factor in Alerus Center on game days.
  12. I agree with this - more restaurants on 42nd next to hotel strip by Alerus would be helpful. Next best step is to ask GF sports bars/restaurants - like Buffalo Wild Wings - to set up tents in Alerus Center parking lot for football tailgating. If you can’t get restaurants to open up full time on 42nd, then at least have a temporary presence for game day. A Buffalo Wild Wings tent with beer/wings and multiple TVs set up with college football games would make for a nice addition to tailgating atmosphere, etc.
  13. Technically he’s employed in NJ. Where he lives (NY or NJ) is his choice.
  14. Not sure I would use the word bitter, but icy puck does stink (smell) …
  15. What’s a Carter Rowney?
  16. All starts with vision and expectations. If there’s great vision and expectations, then comes down to effort. It’s really not that complicated; hopefully they can get somebody into the position that has great vision/expectations as well as is willing put in the work.
  17. Well, there are issues with UND football’s winning mentality, and, therefore, also consistency under Schweigert. With that said, the comments from Weah are still way out of line considering what UND did for him to get him on the field.
  18. October 1, 2022 - will be one game this season to look forward to.
  19. Proud of Waletzko, hope he keeps impressing. Big things coming for him, obviously, but also UND football program should be proud too.
  20. This right here is a major liability for the offense. Exactly why QB position is so important to the offense and the entire team. You are basically suggesting that the best we can do with Tommy Schuster to ignite the deep passing game is to throw up 50/50 balls … ouch
  21. This is the main wildcard. If he is a good player, the corps will be better. If he’s a bust, then I worry this receiving corps will be status quo and not nearly explosive enough.
  22. Should be plenty of stories to talk about until Fall camp and thereafter. ding - ding … that’s a call out to the media/GF Herald to do their job and write up at least one UND football related article per week. That’s not too much to ask. Im saying the above knowing full well that some of you will defend the Hearldo tooth no matter what (which is sure to bring criticism from you board experts).
  23. Minneapolis ignores speeding and driving with a suspended license? News to me. I get what you’re trying to say, but being from Minneapolis doesn’t explain anything in this case (nor should it).
