  2. Im just curious and I hate to be negative but why is everyone counting on Benton, did I miss something? No one has really SEEN this kid play....seems to me were getting out hopes for someone who never played a game yet. Is everyone just hopeful or what's the deal there? What about Lenny Antwi? A guy who has Division 1 minutes, let's start being hopeful for him. Not someone who can possibly have as much potential as Haygen from last year. Gotta start being realistic here. If he comes in and contributes then great, but what are the odds of that, with a very guard heavy team as it is. Oh and let's not dismiss Shuler all of sudden because we have "Benton" (a walk-on) who sat out. Samonson is a different story, we need all of the size we can get. Basically dot get your hopes up for someone who is completely unproven.
  3. First games guys against a powerhouse. Yes Huff went 4-15 from the field and 1-3 for beyond the arc, and yes Anderson went 1-15 from the field and 0-6 from beyond the arc. But I think we will pull through. Everyone is getting shocked as if it was going to be close. We have 31 more games.
  4. Assuming its from fightingsioux.com. it shows probable starters on the media guide
  5. Sweet deal!!
  6. The countdown begins! Does anyone know if this game will be at all "watchable"?
  7. Hey Jon, great stuff here bud! With my somewhat knowledge of the big sky, and I know this is an early prediction (next year) but what do you think: First Team: 2013-14 season Kareem Jamar-UM Troy Huff-UND Kyle Tresnak-WSU Gelaun Wheelwright-WSU Derrick Barden-UNC Player of the Year: Troy Huff
  8. Miracles happen! High hopes here!
  9. Not good news at all! Geez! I hope this doesn't affect players who already submitted requests
  10. I've heard he hurt his foot in practice, not sure of the severity?
  11. Few injuries in the big sky to note: Weber st.-Byron Fulton Montana- Will Cherry UND-Aaron Anderson
  12. Few injuries in the big sky to note: Weber st.-Byron Fulton Montana- Will Cherry UND-Aaron Anderson
  13. I truly feel if we play tough, we can knock off teams such as Northern Iowa, South Dakota St., North Dakota St., and Hawaii.
  14. I've heard that the team is practicing tough and our returning 4 look really really good and improved.
  15. Thanks 24/7.....hopefully this yr is better!
  16. Last year I remember t.v one station being bad news. I mean I would log on and was unable to watch the games. This season, does anyone know if changes were made with big sky tv? Or are there going to be any televised games on the "root" channel?
  17. Bin, I do agree with you on the fact that Brekke, now with help, hopefully, will have much less pressure to rebound and play timid due to foul trouble issues.
  18. Bin...no way possible that Anderson is the best player on the team. I like the kid. His stats were the greatest by far. So yes statistically, he had a good year. Better than Webb? No a chance. Like someone said earlier, when Webb is out of the lineup, things went haywire. Our overall best player is definitely Huff, just because of the versatility he brings. But no sense in comparing two guys who have an 8' height difference. Webb I our key I success, which goes for any point guard in college basketball. We need that leadership, which Webb HAS to be more vocal with this team. Like a Kendall Marshall, or a Peyton Siva from Louisville.
  19. No way possible Benton is a starter. I believe by mid-season, we will have one of the best "1,2, and 3" backcourt tandems in the big sky. At least top 3 in my book. Nothing against Anderson, I like what he brings to the table, but I feel Shuler is a starter at the 2 spot in the big sky at least. I just feel with Anderson's size, in such a conference, won't be enough. Shuler is a traditional shooting guard. Huff and Webb are the key pieces to our success. Both rebound, steal, and attack the rim really good for guard spots. Interesting season ahead!
  20. Any scrimmages open to the public this year?
  21. ^ I don't understand
  22. I'm sorry but I understand why we're projecting our men's team to be so low? I'm thinking closer to the top 3 spot. Very experienced, athletic, BIG, and hungry! Those ingredients=big dance!
  23. Come on season! Hurry!
  24. Any word on how things are going at workouts? Really looking forward to watching this group of guys play. Any predictions on who's going to fill that last starting position after Webb, Anderson, Huff and Brekke? I would have to say Allard, just because he's "been around" and knows the system
