Sioux2013, I'm sorry to say this; just because we have been getting along lately; but honestly, Nothing against Anderson, but he is not the best talent out the 3 guards. Huff is the best "talent", just is having a bit of a rough first half of the season. And then I think Webb is next. Anderson is a good player, who is happening to shoot better from the field and 3point percentage. And I'm not saying that because, Huff is my "boy" as u call it, but any coach would pick Huff over Snderson, because of the different aspects of his game. Webb is a scoring point guard who can finish with contact. I love all 3, and they will all compliment each other over the years. And yes, replacing Mitchell will be tough. Was hoping Allard would fill that void. : /

I totally agree with that! Our offense, in so many words, SUCKS! I don't get why they stick the 2 and 3 in the corner and let the bigs and point guard do a horrible pick and role offense, that never works. So it basically makes it 3 against 5, which allows the guys defending the 2 and 3 to utilize help defense. It needs to be an offense where the guards are active. Unfortunately we can't add post plays, for example high low, etc...I don't get it. There hundreds of junior colleges and thousands of high schools who all have bigs, fricken go get some! And leave the Archers, Wilmers, and Stockdales, at home; not to mention Haugen. And it's nothing against them, we just need quality players in order to compete...especially in the big sky

Coach daddy? You just contradicted yourself. You said are bigs are basically terrible, in so many words, so don't out guards have to shoot in order to get a point scored? Mitchell, Huff, Webb, and Anderson have to shoot the ball, face it. That's just the truth of the matter. Unless u think, Wilmer and Archer can get us points : /

Is anyone familiar with Sac St.? Will it be a tough game for us to win? I guess overall my concern is that the Sioux usually has a hard time on the road.

Seriously, what is up with that "stand in the corner" offense? It basically only gives u three people on the floor, because the other 2 guys are buried in the corner. Never really understood that.

Sioux2013 I can finally for once say that I agree with you. Huff's shot selection has to improve, Allard plain and simple should be having a better career considering his potential, Shuler unfortunately is not the quickest/most athletic guard so for him its to get shots up unless he is wide open. Players like Haugen, Wilmer and Antwi SHOULD be giving us 5 points each. As far as Anderson, I like him as a player, but realistically, he will have those days where he is on some games and off some games. I think off when we play the bigger/stronger guards; I mean let's admit it, he is a true 5'6-5'7, what helps him is the heart he plays with. He will games where he rips it up (exciting watch). Does anyone have a Goodman update? That would give us some bench help besides Shuler.

Green Team....I agree. Huff has to be aggressive offensively. Points have to scored. We need 1 or 2 more guys to take shots. It's just a given, Huff and Mitchell take a nice percentage of our shots, but they have too. Shuler and Allard need to take more shots. But I'm sure we will be fine as the year goes on. Go Sioux!

I agree that at this point Huff SHOULD not shoot three's. I'm the first to say it. Not to mention working harder In practice to increase his free throw numbers, which are definitely horrible; last night, not so bad, I believe 3 for 4. All I'm saying guys, is that we're quick to point out the free throw percentage and the 3 point percentage and the 4-5 bad shots he takes, but at the end of the day; he is apart OUR Sioux program, let's motive the good things he does. Leading rebounder, leading steals, second or third in assist. That goes for any player. Webb, let's not critize his turnovers, but praise his big shots made in clutch, his improved three point percentage. Mitchell's blocking and shooting effort. Brekkes rebounding and toughness. That's all I'm saying. I'm sure these players read this thing and would we really want to take our players confidence down or feel less of of a player due to negativity coming from their OWN FANS!?

Matt-what are you talking about? They CAN together be a great team. Sioux2013- bad shots are taking, I just feel how can you say someone played horrible, when he did OTHER good things. We have to look at statistics, his numbers are up from last year,so to the guy from the previous post that stated Huff simply isn't having a good sophomore year like we thought he would, how so? His numbers are up in each category, even shot selection(which he does need to work on) I'm not protecting the guy, but he is the only guy we really bash. If it was Mitchell, Shuler, Webb etc. I would protect them as well. Only because I realize no ones perfect, and Im a fan of Sioux hoops.

First off, I agree with Bin, I thought Huff played well, and I thought Brekke played well. Brekke 20 and 10, Huff 15pts, 9 reb, 3, steals....How is that a bad game? Sure he takes bad shots, everyone does. It's part of growing. Sioux2013, Im really starting to think your a guy on the team who doesn't want to play with Huff...lol.I can picture you, on your computer in the hotel room, mad because you didn't do so well, so you have to trash talk the guys that did okay.
